As of memorial day, there record is 11 & 37. They had the fourth worst start in major league history. How low can they possibly go? I wonder what their management ha been thinking the last five years.

As a Devil Ray fan, I feel your pain. I think we had a similar record last year at this time. Played better in the second half and only finished with the 3rd worst record. You got any hope? Know you got a couple veterans. How's the kids?

It was terrible of KC ownership to ruin a manager like Tony Pena. He was here managing AAA ball, and he was intense and enjoyed the game, still. Heck, he'd go out in between innings and warm the pitchers up himself.

If he could have he would still have been playing, and he managed that way, too.

MLB needs to do something to protect the smaller market teams. Revenue sharing seems to be the only thing that will save them. Otherwise, these smaller markets are going to be 2nd tier and just a "farm team' for the big money teams. One of these seasons a small market team will "go out of business" halfway through the season.

Excellent point, as if a team from KC can compete against the Bronx price wise.
