Hopefully this year will be a good one. Last yeear was funt to watch. With all the changes this year could be even better!!! Hopefully we will get a battle for the Championship that will come down to the last race.

6:00 am - 7:30 am EST - Qualifying (Live? - Time-slip?)

2:00am - 2:30 am EST - Inside Grand Prix (2nd airing)(late night Sat/early Sun am)

And the winner is???? I predict Michael Schumacher. With the tire change rules, Bridgestone runners have a better chance. Honda is the real wildcard; they've been fast in testing and Rubinho really has the chance to show his stuff. McLaren has one hot looking car this season too.

Qualifying will be really interesting with the shoot out style. Wonder how many revisions this will have?

Here's some words for me to potentially eat at the end of the season:

Michael Shumacher will finish out of the top 3 for the season.

Moses, I also like the qualifying format, should be more fun to watch than the single hot lap format. Another change that I like is with the tires, running qualifying tires on race day seems dangerous and it proved to be just that. Giving teams sets of tires rather that one set of tires makes absolute sense. Whoever came up with the idiotic "one set" rule is lucky that he didn't kill or permanently injure a driver.

I also agree with the Honda wild card but not because of Button but instead because of Ruebens driving for the team. Button doesn't have a history of leading and winning races, Barrichello does. I also think that Red Bull running Ferrari engines with Coulthard driving should make for interesting results.

Who knows!! Fun to speculate more fun to watch (Thank God for TIVO)

Even though I did not have to wake up this morning, I set my alarm for 6:00 AM to watch the practice.

The Bridgestones looked like crap. Shumi could be in for another long season, even with the new tire rules. The tires were torn up after a few practice laps. If they were qualifying only tires, then he could be fast on them, but they may be forced to run harder compounds than Michelin runners just to stay on the track.

But some things never change, Kimi finished practice by pusining his car. He would run away with it if they had iproved reliability. The McLaren does look interesting with all that chrome. I guess it was part of MTV's new series....Pimp my F1 Ride.



Even the announcers did not understand the new qualifying, so I think it should be fun to watch tomorrow!!! I guess I will not be sleeping in this weekend!!!
