I never doubted that LSU would win this game, even when they went down 10-0. The SEC is so far better a conference than the Big 10. Every year the Big 10 send 6-8 teams to bowl games and every year they only win 1-2 of them. The Big 10 is so over rated its not funny. I hope this helps put the nail in the coffin of the BCS and their ridiculous rating system. IMO, they either need to create an 8 team playoff, or go back to just letting the bowl games be games against conference winners like the old days.

Oh yea... for the record, I grew up in Ohio and was a big Buckeye supporter. I have been to The Horseshoe to see many games, but have written them off after a 0-9-1 span against Michigan.

Iceman, as long as Jim Delaney is commissioner of the Big 10, and the Tournament of Roses is the Tournament of Roses, there will be no change. Jim Delaney holds that ABC/ESPN contract by the short and curlies, and he's not going to relinquish one iota of his power.

I'm not too proud to admit that the Buckeyes lost to a better team, BUT, they'll be back next year. The SEC was better this year. The Big Ten was weak this year. As always happens in college football though, they will be back to power soon enough.
Iceman, you bailed out too soon! I also suffered through the Cooper years but that's over and it's soooooo much better now. With only 3 total losses in two+ years it's a great time to be a Buckeye.
I absolutley agree with the need for a playoff but it will never happen. And it has to do with all 4 power conferences, not just the Big Ten. So far not one of the BCS conference commisioners has been in favor of revising the system and none of them have bothered to issue any real reason. The only people in power calling for change are the coaches that feel they've been screwed out of game and then whine to the press. I'd watch more CFB playoffs than the NFL playoffs.
I'm pissed but not embarrased. OSU lost to a good team in a hostile environment and congratulations to LSU, but, 2008 better look out for the Buckyes! Oh well, that's my rant. Go Bucks.

The lack of a pure playoff system and (IMO) the BS of of the ranking system is why I refuse to follow the college games. I love watching them, I just can't put much into it as a lot of times the choices of rankings and who goes to what bowl game just don't make much sense to me.

Thanks for trying CM!! Rick.....I am disappointed in you my friend I just wish we would have given them a decent game. Oh well, I had about the best two hours of fun a guy could have before the game. Smokin' a GREAT Fuente Don Carlos (my first non-opus Fuente) from James (Thanks Again!!) & texting with all my bro's. It was like we were all hanging out together!! I will take that over a win anyday!! It made the loss a little less disappointing.

3 losses.... but 2 of those were humiliating lopsided losses in National Championship game... That they never should have been in. I am sure its better to be a Buckeye now... but you are beating YSU, Akron, and Kent. Not hardly power houses. IMO, the Big 10 is in the same league and the WAC or Conference USA...

OK, ok, ok. I get it you and the rest of ESPN don't like the Buckeyes and I don't have much to argue against you. But, I'm gonna keep these comments in mind next year when OSU takes on USC, runs the Big Ten (again) and then get't to the NC game (again). Third times a charm baby I can't get too caught up in conference arguments; I really don't care if PSU, scUM, MSU, etc are any good - I spend 12 weeks a year hating them! And I don't hate the SEC or any other conference - I just hate whoever is playing my team. OSU pride!
