UFC 91
Anyone catch this card? It puts a very interesting spin on the heavyweight division with Brock Lesnar beating Couture. Sets up some pretty interesting potential match ups.

1) Nogueira 2) Frank Mir 3) Gonzaga (Just beat Hendricks, but lost to Werdum) 4) Lesnar 5) Couture (Sad how high I have to rank a 45 year old LIGHT-Heavyweight) 6) Kongo 7) Junior Dos Santos 9) Fabricio Werdum (Still think he has a ton of potential even after loosing to Dos Santos) 10) A complete mess after 9.... So Nogueira/Mir is at the next UFC (which could be a battle worth watching). Winner takes on Lesnar. Right now, I do not see Lesnar beating Nogueira. If Mir could pull off the upset, I think Lesnar would be a bit more cautious this time around and could beat Mir. Let's face it, Lesnar walked right into a leg lock against Mir, and Lesnar should have won the fight at some point based on strikes. But seriously..... This is the best the UFC has? Nogueira/Lesnar would be a good fight IF Lesnar can build up a ground game in the next 6 months. If not, i'd predict a submission within 2 rounds. Not impressed at all with the HWs. Now, the light-HWs.... That's some fun stuff. The rest of the UFC divisions are pretty solid and offer a lot more interesting matchups.

I couldn't agree more. I do think that Lesnar vs Big Nog would be a great fight. Lesnar is just so damn big but so green with his jui jitsu. Big nog has proven he can take a beating and pull off a win. i'd love to see Lesnar face Mir again and get the win he deserved in the first fight.

Nog is scary too. Just like Mir, he can get beat down then pull off a quick submission out of nowhere. Lesnar, given his extremely solid wrestling skills, could be a force 2+ years from now. If he can incorporate some submission defense/offense, as well as solid striking (both standing and G&P..... he needs to thrown punches, not that pussy hammer fist crap), he could give Fedor a run for his money. That's the difference right now between Nog, Mir, Fedor, etc etc etc.... They are big guys who hit REALLY hard with great JJ, but can also take a pounding.
