Baltimore's .
Where are the Packers? Oh I guess they are happy with thier choice at QB.
It wsnt Rodgers fault the Packers did not make the post season...

He was the 6th best QB in the leage as far as ratings for with a 93.8... pretty damn good plus his TD/INT ratio is outstanding as well with a 63% completion percentage...

Oh and he threw over 4k yards

So what happend to them then? They were a great team last year with Favre.

I watched several games where Rodgers did not play that great, he had that many yards because they were playing catch up.

The Packers need a new offensive line and a new defensive line.

The O-line is old, fat and washed up. They can pass block OK but can't run block for shit (see "old, fat and washed up"). Mark Tauscher? Fat. Injured. Chad Clifton? Fat. Old. Injured. Scott Wells? Undersized. Daryn Colledge? Weak. Jason Spitz? Stupid.

The D-line is young, fat and washed up. We took a major hit when Corey Williams was lost to free agency, Clitoris Hunt and Kabeer Baja Biamilla both washed out, rookie Justin Harrell turned out to be a fat, weakling piece of shit, and Cullen Jenkins got hurt. We haven't had a dominant defensive lineman since Reggie White. Aaron Kampman is the only good guy we GOT along the D-line and he's too small. Ryan Pickett is OK.

I mean seriously, can anybody believe that the Packers went from 13-3 to 6-10 in one season just because of Brett Favre?

We just need some linemen.

And we have the salary cap room to sign 'em.

Their defense gave up too many points.. thats why you have to play catch up... A 93 rating is a 93 rating....

Green Bay's defense was rated #20 overall in the NFL with yards given up with 334.3 and gave up 380 points which ranked them #22 in the NFL...

Granted two teams with worse defenses gave up more yard and made the playoffs but you cant blame the QB for poor defense...

Btw... here are Favre's stats for the year..

Favre finished the year with an 81 QB rating earning him the 21st rank in the NFL and had 22 TD passes to his 22 INT's. MUCH worse than Rodgers... However his completion % is slightly better with 65% but not good enough to say he had a better year than Rodgers which he clearly did not...

Rodgers was the better choice going off of this year's stats.

BINGO.

"Poor defense" as in....no PASS RUSH?

I think a few decent LINEMEN would help, don't you?

Well guys think of it this way, teams played Green Bay different because Favre was not there and Rogers barely played before this year.

Farve had to come into a new team and a new group of guys.

If Farve was with the Packers they might have had a better chance.

Or it might have been Favre played in one of the weakest divisions in football and he went to one of the strongest...

Plus what does Favre got to do with Green Bay's defense?

Maybe if he was playing with Greenbay then teams would be playing Green Bay differently. I cannot say anything about thier D.

The Jets had a better season then they did last year didnt they?

Brett Favre
The Jets fired Eric Mangini. Now they just need to get another quarterback as you know who led the league in picks and tossed nine interceptions and two touchdowns during the meltdown over the final five games.

This was from MSN.com as the #1 dud of the 2008 season.

Doesnt matter how teams played GB... they put up the offense.. GB had the nubmer 8 offense is the NFL in YPG with 351.1. They had the 5th amount of points scored in the NFL with 419.

Flipside.. the Jets offense led by Favre...
They had the 16th ranked offense in YPG with 316 and were 9th in the league in scoring with 405.

The Jets had a much much better defense and offensive line than the Packers and a better RB.

Dont forget.. Rodgers did play many games injured as well. Still dont see a solid arguement that Favre would have been a better choice. The numbers just arent there.

Well we will just see what history shows for Rodgers, Farve had bad years and good years with the Packers, he tossed a lot of Picks with the Packers as well. Teams that played the Packers had to worry about Farve and what his quick strike agains the blitz, and such.

Oh and what was the Jets record last year and what was the Packers record last year?

Oh well I am glad he is gone from the division. Did I mention that back in 94' I drank a beer with Farve in a bar in Effingham IL while he stopped in on his drive back to Louisana? That was pretty cool.

Well you cant compare what Favre did to what he has done this year... Few quarterbacks if any will come close to Favre's legacy... Im thinking Peyton and Brady might but thats a whole other arguement

For me the Packers made the right choice regarding Favre. This is really hard for me to say because unlike some of you I've grown up watching him. I was 3 or 4 when he became GB's starting QB and as a WI boy I've gotta say he was and is an icon.

It was also his time to leave. He acted immaturely, rushed decisions, and has been playing all around rather poorly. He is still a great QB, but no longer has the body to back it up.

As for GB I think HRPuffinStuff totally diagnosed the lineman problem. I can't blame Rodgers a bit for the season he played with so little experience in the NFL and the crowd cheering when he walked off the field Sunday shows the fans in attendance agreed with me. I wasn't as skeptical as some, but he won GB over and earned it. Get a line to back him up and we'll be a pretty strong team again. The easier schedule next year will help.

Spoken like a true Packer fan. All hail king Rodgers,

Farve had every right to chose what he wanted to do. If the Packers were not so worried about him why did they say he could not go to a NFC North team?

Tomlinson has a tore tendon....

Initially I thought.. SD has no chance now.. but then I remembered Sproles was their backup and Indy probably prepared as if they were playing LT. Sproles is good.... very good. He has just been in LT's shadow much lime Michael Turner had been. Should make it an interesting game if Sproles gets the start.

Arizona's D is looking pretty good early. Atlanta could lose this one if they cant find a way to turn Turner loose

Sproles is really good, but it look's like they are going to give LT a shot but i don't think he will be in for long though... Atlanta is tuning it around.now..
