NFL Wild Card Discussion

Should be an interesting weekend. All 4 home teams are currently listed as underdogs in Vegas.

Arizona is getting 1 from Atlanta
San Diego is getting 1 from Indy
Miami is getting 3 fro Baltimore
Minnesota is getting 3 from Philly

I don't think it would be much of a stretch to see all 4 home teams lose in the first round.

Hrm...if I was putting money on it (and I probably wouldn't), I don't think I'd pick Baltimore & Philly to lose. The other two I can see pretty easily, but I think Baltimore and Philly are going to make it to the 2nd round this year. Course, it's a proven fact that I don't much of shit about shit, so I could be completely wrong

Yeah it all depends on which Cardinals team shows up. I see my Vikings as an underdog to the Eagles, but I guess it depends on how well Jackson throws the ball and if Peterson can run against them and not fumble the ball.

Ask the survivor king of this year's pool here are my picks...

Atlanta over Zona.. sorry but Zona played in a weak division and didnt look all that great against inter-divisional opponents

Indy over San Diego.. Indy just looks strong.. Peyton is playing like an MVP now and Indy's defense is just looking too damn good

Baltimore will stomp Miami... they just are... they are too good

Philly will beat Minnesota in a close match... Philly has been on a tear since benching McNabb.. that must have lit something under his ass plus Philly defends good against the run which is all Minnesota has on offense.

+1 across the board. Couldn't have said it any better myself.

I think Atlanta, Indy and Baltimore win big. Philly/Minn game will be close, and won't be suprised if Minnesota wins.

I am still not to sure about my Vikings, trying to figure out what kind of team they are this year, go figure.

So any of you guys want to put a 5 cigar bet on the Eagles losing to my Vikings?

I'll put 5 on the Eagles.

I think as long as they stop Peterson, they win.

I predict:

Philly will CRUSH the detestable Vikings.

Baltimore's defense is too much for Miami.

Atlanta will mangle weakling Arizona.

Indy over San Diego by a field goal.

It wsnt Rodgers fault the Packers did not make the post season...

He was the 6th best QB in the leage as far as ratings for with a 93.8... pretty damn good plus his TD/INT ratio is outstanding as well with a 63% completion percentage...

Oh and he threw over 4k yards

My picks:

Indy
Philly
Baltimore
Atl vs the Cards is a tough one... depends on which Kurt Warner shows up.

A bunch of them are back at home smoking cigars on their decks, I'd imagine.

The Packers SUCKED this year, there's no denying that.

I am as hard-core of a Packer fan as you will ever find, having watched every game since 1965 (and probably before that I can't remember) and yes, that includes the final "Glory Years" of Vince Lombardi.

But more than that, I am a football fan.

Brett Favre was one of the GREATEST QBs I have ever had the pleasure of watching play NOT because of his superior skills or his ability to throw the deep ball (which he never had) but because of his LEADERSHIP and his ABILITY to instill confidence in the players around him. He made every team better and made them BELIEVE they could win. Favre made you believe you had a chance in every game.

But he QUIT.

And he CRIED.

And the whole State of Wisconsin cried with him. And then we moved on. And then he wanted to come back, to go through this same goddam circus year after year after year.

We like our guy, Aaron Rogers.

And I still hate the Vikings.
