Duke Lax Allegations

I think these guys are truly embarrassing themselves and their school. They have crossed the line between team unity and stupidity by not talking to the authorities. We are not talking about someone possibly cheating on a paper, we are talking rape allegations. I've been on lots of teams and I totally understand backing your teammates, but when serious criminal allegations are involved, I believe it is time to do what's right versus what's popular. I tell you, it doesn't look good, if they are swabbing these guys for DNA samples, they must have reason (i.e. they found some secretions on the girl). Someone over there needs to step up and come clean so that the rest of the team and university can move on.

DNA is not the be all/end all. All it can prove is that sex, whether it be rape, consensual, or purchased, occurred.

It is a huge embarassment to a great school, program, and sport.

as of yesterday the head coach resigned and the team got the rest of their season cancelled. They took DNA samples of every kid accept the one black kid because the girl said it was white boys that raped here. Either way those kids are fuked bad.

Unlikely they are innocent given the emails and girl's reports. Kill and skin the strippers huh? That there's class .... a well-raised kid for sure.

Spoiled, rich-ass white punks with well-paid lawyers courtesy of daddy or not, I think the three guilty parties are going to go to the big house, where they belong, and where there will have an appropriate welcoming committee. I hope they enjoy the receiving end as much as the giving.

The rest of the A-holes who refuse to cooperate with a police investigation should be charged with obstruction and booted out of school permanently.

I'm with you man, regardless of guilt, that's some pretty disgusting stuff. We all make sick jokes, but that is WAY over the line if he was joking. I also completely agree about the rest of the team, those guys need to get the boot.

By no means am I an apologist for the alleged actions of what happened here. That said, I think these young men deserve due process to determine weather a criminal act was indeed executed.

I just don’t think it’s fair to “criminalize” these guys just because they’re privy to a Duke education and comfortable up bringing.

The information released to this point would strongly recommend that indeed a heinous and inexcusable crime has occurred. However, I will reserve judgment until the facts of this matter are presented by the authorities investigating it.
