Yep caught that on the new today. He just picked it up and walked off the field. Maybe he needed it.

Go Red Sox.

went to opening day with Sir Tony. Had a few sticks in the parking lot and watched the Brewers win a great game...can't get much better than that

Re: Baseball time

Ahh Yes, baseball! Well my fav team, the 'Stros had a bad spring season and don't look to hot. This is a common theme for them though -- always start the season shitty and end up doing good towards the end. I'm predicting another wild card for Houston if they can get some run support when it counts. Here are my other predictions:
NL Central -- Cards
NL East -- Braves, of course. I really hate them already
NL West -- D'backs (they will surprise you)

NL pennant -- Cards

AL East -- Yanks and Red Sox both look good. Umm, I'll pick the Sox edging out NY, with NY taking the wild card
AL Central -- White Sox are a very well-balanced team. Tigers and Indians will be on their ass all season long though.
AL West -- Most people are picking Oakland, but I think it's all hype. I like the Angels in this one.

AL pennant -- White Sox

These are my picks, lets see how they hold up. I'd like to see what all you other BOTL'S picks are. Good luck to all your teams.

Re: Baseball time

Red Sox pitching and offense are nasty, Yanks pitching is complete chit. They blew the lead the other night thanks to errors and I loved every minute of it.

Yankees pitching was bad last season and yet they still managed to take the AL East. The season is way too early to say who will do what.I wouldn't get to cocky about the Sox 3 games in to the season. Heck, I'd take Tampa Bay's lineup over Boston's.

I love the Yanks but have to agree with you...They will have to stay healthy....I wish they would've went after Beckett...He really impressed me the other night.

Re: Baseball time

Sox ... Yanks ... AL ... Whatever ...

It will be the Cards all the way ... if Edmonds nerve problem in his arm improves, if Pujols foot doesn't cause problems, if whoever we find to play second can actually catch the ball, if Encarnacion can hit more than his weight, if Ponson doesn't fall off the wagon, if Looper can find the strike zone, if we can actually beat the Cubs at Wrigley, if a lot of other things I haven't even mentioned. Yeah, it's probably a little too early to make a lot of predictions. But, hey, we swept the Phillies ... woohoo.

Angels Yankees tonight. I hope my Angels can beat that NY all-star team of losers. 1-2 with that lineup makes me sick. I guess they just cant buy a win.
