Danica's win

Won this week's IndyCar race in Japan - 1st ever open-wheel victory for a woman.
Personally, I'm psyched for her - I think it's great for the sport, and for women in general.
That being said, my wife was PISSED that Danica cried afterwards: "She works so hard to prove she's as good as a man, then she cries like a girl afterwards?!"

Oh, please. Only 18 cars in the race, only 7 finished the entire 200 laps, made up cars by Honda (not their regular cars), only half of the top ten drivers participated, and only $35,000 to the winner? What kind of race was this? She'll still have to prove herself.

This reminds me of the NASCAR race in Mexico last year with no top drivers involved so that the Mexican could win.

No REAL credit for this kind of shenanigans.

That said, she is tuff lookin'.

Wow... I didn't even know any of that. I haven't had as much of a chance to
follow racing the past couple years. I only heard them say "Danica Patrick has won her first Indy race" and didn't stick around to watch the story.

I gotta get back to watching F1.

I was happy that she won. Hell if I won my first Indy Car race after all that time, I'd probably shed some tears too. Cut her some slack... I bet she wins a couple more this year.

She's no Michelle Mouton, but it is f*cking hard to win anything at that level, no matter what the field, or the cars.

Some day people will get over saying "first woman" or "first black" or "first whatever" - it'll be "first robot" ...

To clarify - This was not my opinion, it was my wife's. I'm happy for her regardless, my wife was annoyed that she cried.
