I guess you know Bud Selig hired George Mitchell to give the report on the Bonds situation. George Mitchell is the Chairman of Disney I want to say. For sure he's on the board of Disney. Disney owns one of the pro teams plus the stations that show some of the games ESPN and ABC. No conflict of interest there. No sir. Tis a joke.

This is just bullshit. I'm too tired of people saying that he couldn't have done all this without steroids. Compare that photo to his current and with a good diet, protein shakes and an athletic workout program it is very concievable. Plus the lighting in his rookie card works against him and doesn't show all of his ripped muscles.

I think TNorthern misses my point (where NCRadio has been so perfectly elegant, eloquent and concise).

Bonds really has nothing to do with it; he's only the most recent (and soon to be convicted perjuror) symptom, not the disease. Bud Selig is the disease. He has watched this go on for a decade because he was too distracted counting money for the club owners.

Could be the Gamma, but no matter what he takes it will never make his body fit the size of his head.

If he took steroids, I think admitting to it would have done him a better service then the show he's been putting on. I say IF only for the fact that it isn't proven.

I'm not a total steroid user hater. It had a purpose, people abused it and got all jacked up and now it is illegal.

I blame Selig as much as the Steroid users. And the sport needs to clean house and implement an Olympic style drug program.

But on the other hand what should baseball have done. Coming off the strike in 1994, baseball as a sport was left crippled. The owners certainly didn't have the power to try to implement or enforce any drug policy. Instead they quietly stuck their heads in the sand while juicers like Sosa, McGuire and Bonds effectively saved baseball.

Was it right?

No.

But the steroid era saved baseball.
