Barry Bonds is a POS and his dad was just as much of an a$$hole. He deserves to have everyone hate him. I would not pitch to him.

Wow, what great insight you have! Still hate to see this poor excuse of a human being break the record, whether it be steroids or his wonderful personality...he still is a piece of S**T, IMHO!

I guess you don't have a problem with kids cheating in school, Clinton lying to a Grand Jury, Race Car drivers "enhancing" their cars to win races, etc. With your frame of mind...as long as they don't get caught, everythings okay. Sad that this is the mindset that many in our society have these days....no personal integrity, and a blurring of the lines between what's right and what's wrong. I guess that's what make the world turn...everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

I don't think the humor is in the starving kid (I don't think people find that funny). I think the humor is in the fact that Barry bonds was an exceptionally skinny "gap shooter" type of hitter when he was a rookie. Compare that to now where he is a freakishly large human that has miraculously become the most prolific home run hitter in the history of the game... Then again, you might be right, maybe people are laughing at the starving kid (but I doubt it).

People are not laughing at the starving kid, unfortunately most don't even think about the starving kid.

Also unfortunately, far too many are thinking about that cheating jerk Bonds and his inevitable record.

It doesn't really make me mad, it makes me very sad.

To posters on this Bonds/Steroids thread. I took a ding on RG from ComicBookFreak and NC Radio Man with regard to my response post to CBF's Bond's countdown.

My apologies for being offensive to anyone, particularly, CBF...but sometimes what one THINKS is going to be a humorous comment when it comes off from the finger tips when typing, is not always what is received by the reader.

As is often stated when someone makes a humorous comment by something very obvious to everyone in a room when stating, "way to go Einstein," my "insight" comment was pretty much referring to the obvious that with Bonds hitting them out of the park, and CBF's update of the numbers...it seemed to be pretty obvious to everyone that he will break Aaron's record soon. It was a smart a** comment to something that I considered to be pretty obvious.

Where i continued to screw up, and because their was a history of CBF and I bantering back and forth in other threads, the rant about things in society being "blurred" and the "insight" comment apparently didn't sit well with him and NC Radio Man (who may have been acting as a moderator and was only trying to difuse any potential downward turn that the postings may have taken).

No offense intended...but obviously was taken as such. My regrets. Still can't stand Bonds, nevertheless (sorry NC Radio Man---had to throw that in there ). If anyone else was offended...my apologies. Now...play ball!
