He's guilty of being the best juicer of the juicer era. He's taking the fall for a lot of bad stats posted by a lot of lesser players who played the keep up with the jones game. The bigger the are, the harder they fall.

Who you gonna believe. You got guys like Palmeiro going up in front of Congress saying who me. You think these guys are going to give it up. Selig wishes Jose Canseco dropped dead 4 years ago. Juicing, coke, meth, shots of bourbon before the game to calm the nerves(the Red Sox did this before the games in their world series run), taking a tack to the ball (Mike Scott), cheating is as old as baseball. Barry's a convenient object of derision. If the other guys had any honor among themselves they'de stand up and be counted with Barry and tell everyone it was a systemic problem. That they let him swing (from the gallows) is pretty piss poor.

sorry, but must respectfully disagree. Bonds is getting what he rightfully deserves. For the vast majority of his career he was a grade A ASShat, playing the race card whenever possible and alienating players and fans alike. Born in privilege and given every concievable opportunity, he has had the audacity to speak his name and the name of Jackie Robinson in the same breath. People only began to tolerate his presence when he started hitting a lot of homeruns. he finally got the love he wanted

as far as other people who cheated in baseball, sorry but there is no valid comparison. Someone who throws a spitball is not committing a crime. Bonds , if we believe the things we are hearing now, obtained steriods from his trainers and just about anyone else he could. Well, steroids are a controlled substance, unavailable in this country without a prescription from a medical doctor. In addition, Bonds allegedly committed perjury. Bonds is a criminal, the others eg. taking a tack to a baseball. are not. simple as that. Palmeriro? Well, since he is not an Asshat he is just ostracized.

Okay so your one of these touchy feelie arbiters of guilt or innocent. The fact he's a jerk has no bearing the subject. It's an excuse to dump on one guy to absolve the sins of an industry. Pretty typical.

Re the pic, look at Jordan as a sophmore in college and then at 37 or whatever his age was the last year he played. Of course Bonds is a cheater by all outward accounts. But the idea a skinny kid can't become a beefy man is stupid.

Is Bonds what you would classify as beefy? Kirby Puckett was beefy. Ortiz is beefy. Ramirez is beefy. Bonds is far from beefy.
I have seen many skinny guys become well toned and even well defined (body buidler type). I have never seen a slim guy like Bonds was end up with a neck that takes up a city block and that can crush the average man. That is not beefy.

You keep comparing apples to oranges. What Jordan has to do with this has me a little stumped, but the most damning evidence to Bonds guilt is the extreme change in his appearance from the time he was 36 on. Dude, what is the point of comparing the changes between a 21 year old Jordan and a 33 year old Jordan, with a 36 year old bonds and a 42 year old Bonds? It isn't even CLOSE to being the same thing. At 21 your body is still growing and changing. At 36 it is not. (well, it might be growing ROUNDER for some of us ) Additionally, none of that even begins to explain how the BONE structure of Bonds head has mysteriously changed. The guy looks like f****ing Pumpkinhead in the horror movie. And just as an aside, the fact that Bonds is an Asshat is most certainly relevant. You are complaining that no one will stick up for him and they are leaving him swinging in the wind. Well, yeah, that is what people do to Asshats. If Bonds were a standup guy and liked by, oh lets say ANYBODY on this planet, they WOULD stick up for him. in general, people don't stick up for Asshats.

Ok, I am not a Giants but I am a season ticket holder (for work) and I will tell you there is nothing more irritating than sitting at a Giants game and listening to everyone yammer about Bonds. I don't get it? Last time I checked it is 9 players on the field not 1 and it shouldn't matter if Bonds is pitched to or not, the intentional walk is just good stategy. Now if you walk a batter with no outs and no one on base you are just a pussy.

Baseball blows, no question about it. It has turned into a slugfest and not a strategy game. There are the few obvious expections, White Sox or Cardinals maybe but as a whole baseball fans don't want to see the suicide squeeze they want the long ball. Well I say wooptie F-ing do. You could roll a robot up to the plate (like bat makers use to test new products) and have it swing at the ball and drive it deep. I tell you the next time I hear an idiot say "you know baseball should go to aluminum bats to bring in viewers" I am going to choke em. That would be great having a pitcher get his head torn off by a 175 mph line drive off the bat of Jeter.
