SEC, but the Big 12 is making its case this year.

1) SEC
2) Big 12
3) Big 10
4) PAC 10

My detailed analysis (for whatever that is worth):

SEC:
Once again this is best conference. Lots of great teams: #2 Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia and Auburn. You have 5-0 Vanderbilt sitting atop the East. South Carolina and Kentucky are also pretty good teams. Tennessee is having a down year. Mississippi is improving (ask Florida). Only MSU and Arkansas aren't very good.

BIG 12:
Is a very close second. Five 5-0 teams: #1 Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Missouri. Kansas is 4-1. Colorado, Kansas State and Nebraska are decent teams. Iowa State, Baylor and Texas A&M aren't very good.

BIG 10:
Joe Paterno has PSU ranked #6. Ohio State is looking much better with a healthy Wells and Pryor as QB. Michigan State has a explosive offense. I'm not sure they are that good, but Northwestern is 5-0 and Minnesota is 4-1. Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin have lots of talent and have a chance to defeat anyone they play in conference. No real dogs at the bottom of the conference: Iowa, Indiana and Purdue.

PAC 10:
You have USC and then you have everyone else. Despite their loss to Oregon State, they are the best team in the conference. Oregon and California are pretty solid teams. I thought Arizona State would be better. As for everyone else in the conference - not so good. The two team from Washington are just horrible.

ACC:
No dominate teams - just lots of mediocrity. 9 teams could win this conference: Wake Forest, Boston College, Florida State, Maryland, Clemson, Virgina Tech, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Miami. NC State, Duke and Virginia are not good.

Big East:
Even more mediocrity than the ACC. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, South Florida and Connecticut are having decent seasons. Is West Virginia coming back? Rutgers and Syracuse are really bad.

Damn Jon, very well said!! Yes the ig 12 is great too but just not quite as tough from top to bottom like the SEC. Also Louisville is having a Down year which hurts the Big East. The ACC sucks with the exception of V Tech, UNC and maybe Wake.
I would LOVE to see those who posted "Other" explain why they think their pick is better. Chicken??

Big 12 has been showing up this year and playing some fine ball. i thing we need to get some SEC / Big 12 regular season games going, but they would never do that and jeopardize recruiting.

The SEC from top to bottom is probably the toughest year in and year out, but as everyone knows there are 3 Big 12 teams in the top 5, 4 in the top 10 and 6 overall in the Top 25. The SEC also has 6 teams in the Top 25. I would say the Big 12 is catching up.

You my friend must be blind and a whiner All the propaganda is going Big12 way. All the Heisman talk is Big12. They are all ESPN talks about. They friggin don't even mention Tim Tebow who is playing unbelievable ball right now and will win a National Title you rarely hear about. When you rank a Conference it is from Top to Bottom. The SEC would wipe the floor with the Big12 if you matched 'em up team by team ( SEC > Big12 )
