I think change will do some good. In this era of college football, it is what have you done for me lately. Look what happened to Solich of Nebraska. Several names mentioned for replacement and hopefully they will get coach that best fits the program.
The people, fans already want Prince fired at Kstate, and he has only been there 3 years. I wish you luck.

It is for sure a sad day but I believe the time has come for a change. I got a little choked watching the press conference but now I'm looking to the future.

I agree. I can't stand UT but I have lots of respect for them. It's a great football program that is NOT used to losing. First one to go is always the head coach. I am sure they will find a very good replacement.

yea but at the end of the day

how are you going to find a better coach than what we have? Its a sad day when you have a coach that is that good, that is not good enough. I have met him a few times he is a great person. I will miss him and UT football will never be the same. there are a lot of hater fans out there that want him gone. I am not one of them. they went to the SEC championship last year. 17 seasons and 2 with a loosing record 05 and 08 and he is out.

I think it shows how fickle the fans of the SEC can be. If Penn State was in the SEC Jo Pa would have been out years ago. And now he is taking that team on towards a national championship. YOU CAN"T WIN EVERY YEAR.

thats what makes me mad about it. just because the ones with a lot of money to give to the school dont like how this season has been going they are going to get rid of a great coach.

Trust me, I know all about unfair coaching changes. Does the name Tubby Smith ring a bell. Smith led Kentucky to one National Championship in 1998, a perfect 16–0 regular season conference record in 2003, five SEC regular season championships (1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005) and five SEC Tournament titles (1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004), with six Sweet Sixteen finishes and four Elite Eight finishes (1998, 1999, 2003, 2005) in his nine seasons. He totaled 100 wins quicker than any other Wildcat coach except Hall of Famer Adolph Rupp, reaching the plateau in 130 games.

His numbers were unbelievable but he only won (1) National Title. That is ALL programs like UK care about.UK Alumni forced for a change and enter one Billy Gillispie.

Great coach and he coached the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Not doing bad at Minny right now either.

Rumors are already flying around KS that Kstate is going to go after him, as soon as the football season is over. That is if Prince last that long. I say, show him the door and bring in Fulmer. We will be more than happy to take have him!!!

The Door has opened:

Kansas State football coach Ron Prince is expected to announce his resignation during a 4 p.m. teleconference Wednesday sources have told GoPowercat.com. More news as this story develops. Prince was hired as K-State head prior to the 2006 season, and collected a record of 16-18 during his tenure as head coach. K-State is scheduled to play at Missouri on Saturday.
