Fantasy NASCAR anyone?

I really enjoyed last year's league & was hoping Andy would do another. But I see he hasn't logged on for awhile, so ... was thinking of starting another Yahoo NASCAR league myself. Maybe just 10-12 teams, first and second place taking the prizes (70-30). Would have everyone send in 5-8 cigars for the prize pool. I don't want more teams than that because I don't have the space in the cooler to store much more than that for the better part of a year. So if someone else wants to handle receiving and sending out prizes, we could allow more teams.

Any interest? If I get some yeses, I'll set it up.

Okay, I've created a "group" (league) on Yahoo. Whoever wants in can sign up, and we'll decide the details when we know how many we have. I might cap it at 12 unless someone else wants to be the keeper of the prize pool.

Go to: http://racing.fantasysports.yahoo.co...ter/createteam to create a team. Then you'll have an option to join a group. Join a private group, with these details:

Group ID#: 18964
Group Name: Stogie League
Group PasswordL: padron

Use your Username here as your team name so we all know who is who. Post a note here when you're signed up.

When we're all set, we'll figure out where to send the prize pool and how it'll be divided (if we get only 5-6 people, we may do winner-take-all, or do two places 70-30 if we get more).

We'll have everyone send in 5-8 cigars (good ones - we don't need Opus or anything, but nothing you'd be embarassed to share with a fellow gorilla).

Based on how many people we get, we'll pay 1 or 2 places. If it's 6 or less, 1 place. Seven-twelve, 2 places.

We'll give it a week or so to see how many we get.

Looks like we might have to go with what we've got. I think my dad would like to join. He really likes NASCAR, though he's not a smoker or a board member. Unless anyone objects, I can put up his entry fee for him. If people would rather keep it to board members only, I'm cool with that as well.

The good thing is that fantasy racing isn't about head-to-head matchups, so a lower number can work.

I'm posting my address on the league board. Send 5-8 cigars as entry fee. As of now, it looks like it will be winner-take-all.
