I voted 'love' him just because he's got fast hands and can hit the shiatzu out of the ball. Even if his strength may be from drugs, you can't deny his ability to connect. Otherwise, I really don't like the ambiguity that drugs bring to the game stats.

is he a very good baseball player, even before he got "juiced"? hellz yes.

if ppl really gave a damn about the personality of some of these guys, you'd have more than 90% of those jackasses - what's so different about barry bonds?

I don't find myself agreeing with you often but this post really hits it out of the park.

A) The Current and past (recent) generation has been filled with methods to increase performance considered immoral. The WHOLE SPORT is tarnished in my opinion. Everyone knew the juice was on the diet of many and it wasn't even against the rules until fairly recently... the public and the league were looking the other way.

B) Like Nixon... Bonds is high profile/talent AND he got caught just like players with cork bats (see next line)

C) How many others did use or are still using them??? And BTW... there are plenty of ways to cover it up!

My prediction is that Bonds record will be beat some day and by then the scandal will be mostly forgotten... and I sure won't be surprised when they uncover the next performance enhancement scandal...... oh how shocking!!! I seriously doubt that Baseball or any other American sport will get REAL serious about going after the problem. They could learn a lot from cycling but they won't.

Barry Bonds... I'm a Dodger fan, local team. (I love them Cubs too, my birth Place.) I DO NOT LIKE BARRY BONDS IN A BOAT, OR WITH A GOAT. I DO NOT LIKE HIM WITH A FOX, BUTIN A 'BOX' would be nice.
