Well, we just swept the Yankees again. Hopefully we keep up our winning ways against Cleveland. By they way, I'm not a fan of these 2-game series.

Same. Seems like wasted time traveling. Why not just make it a 3-4 game series?

1. Sox lost. Bad game, got smoked 9-2.
2. Bruins lost. I'm not a big hockey fan, but still sucks.
3. Celtics won! Completely crushed the Orlando Magic. Lead by 20+ for most of the game. Rondo got 3rd triple double of post season tying the record. House was just killing the 3 pointers.
4. Jerry Remy has cancer. Sad news. He had been out because he was "sick", but today they announced he had surgery related to his cancer.

Remy to take leave to recover from cancer

Yeah that was insane. 12 runs in an inning is one thing, but without making a single out. Completely insane.

Some random thoughts:

I miss RemDawg, Eck does a nice job analyzing what the pitcher is doing, but Jerry is just plain FUN. Get well soon.

Papelbon is making me REAL nervous this year. Look at last nights' game, allowed two base runners before striking out three in a row. I don't know how Tito's stomach handles it.

Had to smile when I heard the Manny news. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Oh, by the way, Jason Bay looks better every day. Wow, can he perform in the clutch!

I'm still not convinced Brad Penney belongs in this rotation.

Time is running short for Big Pappy to begin to produce, (and by that I mean Home Runs). Even Tito has his limits.

Nice to see Elsbury up around 300. This kid just reeks of potential.

I still don't like the new gray road uniforms, but I do like the alternate "hanging sox" caps.

I completely agree with you on all your points except the one about the new road jerseys. I actually like them more than the old ones.

Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but I'm beginning to think I would like him more in the bullpen with Clay Bucholz taking his place in the rotation. Bucholz ERA is now at 1.03 in Pawtucket and it is becoming increasingly clear that the Sox are not going to be able to keep in down on the farm for much longer.... and then there's John Smoltz ... what do do with him?

3 game losing streak. It looks like the injuries are starting to catch up to us. Hopefully, we can get a win today.

Ughh... If we couldn't beat the Mariners, I think we're going to have some trouble beating the Blue Jays next week.

Starting pitching is rounding into expected form. DiceK coming back soon, Youk coming back soon. Big Papi now all rested, hopefully has his head on straight and will start knocking in some dingers at the Olde Ballpark. Even with all our injuries and other woes, we're still in second place behind the Bluejays. All will be well. After what we've suffered via the Bruins and Celtics, we deserve it!

Wake looked awsome, Big Papi finally got a HR and we're only 1/2 game out. DiceK against Santanna next ... this should be interesting.

Papi needs to be benched for awhile. He is a no tool player right now and is hurting the team. Bay has been awesome so far, it is a contract year IIRC.

I agree with the person that said Papelbomb worries him. He got rocked again last night but managed the save. He has been hit and hit hard this year much like Mo has been for us. Should be a good run for both teams though.
