Well, decided to make a thread where we can talk about each game. Otherwise I'd find myself making a new thread for each game, which could be a bit of a mess.

I seen a good amount of New England Sports fans on this board, so lets hear from ya!

Things to discuss here:

1. Discussion of the RedSox as a team.
2. Discussion of RedSox players and coaches.
3. Discussions here before game with predictions, questions, news and updates.
4. Discussion during the game about events during the game.
5. Discussion after the game recapping the game and giving your opinions on the teams performance.
6. Team news, trades, injury reports, drafts, and more.

Things not to discuss here:

1. Your hate for the RedSox or anyother team (no yankee hatin' keep it clean).
2. Teams or games irrelevant to the RedSox.
3. Something unrelated to baseball or the RedSox (with the exceptions of cigars).

I look forward to hearing from other fans and discussing the games with them. I think I might make up some RedSox fan banners for signatures as well, for all our fans to display their pride of the team. The 2009 season should be a good one! We got the hottest division in the MLB, and one of the best teams we've seen in years.

Good past 2 games for the Sox.

Jason Bay crushed a home run to center in the 9th bringing it into extra innings, then in the 11th Youk nails a walk off home run.

Wild game today with constant score changes. To much to even talk about.

Last night's game was crazy. I'm hoping for another good outcome tonight. Masterson has been doing well as a starter, but he even said the pressure of playing against the Yankees could get to him. Petite has a great record against the sox, however, most of those wins came when he was younger, and unfortunately, taking steroids. Our last time against him we crushed him. I think our offense is better this year, so I'm thinking he won't last too long. My prediction: Red Sox over Yankees, 7-3, with five of the Red Sox's runs coming before the 6th inning.

Yeah, I'm just about to go watch it. We will see. What team do you follow? The Orioles?

Poor Celtics lost it in double overtime. So many questionable calls.

I've been a sox fan my whole life. Born and raised south of Boston- Cohasset. I'm in Baltimore now because I'm finishing undergrad here and I will be going to law school here in the fall.

Great game last night even though we didn't get to Petite as much as I had hoped. What a steal by Jacoby though. I honesty don;;t think I've ever seen that happen other than on Sports Center's top plays.

Yeah, first time I've seen that happen while watching. We were going crazy in my house. My mom runs out of the bathroom "WHAT! WHAT! WHAT HAPPENED!".

I remember watching a game last year where Aaron Hill of the Blue Jays stole home against the Yankees. Andy Petite was also on the mound and Jorge Posada was behind the plate.

Stealing home is a beautiful thing!

Another win with some great pitching on Wake's part and some heroics by Manny. Oh wait. That left fielder of ours doesn't look like Manny, and he doesn't seem to be causing any problems like Manny did. He's just coming in clutch like the vintage Manny. Anyway, you gotta love Bay. Hopefully we sign him to an extension quick before his price continues to increase much more. I say screw the team's policy of no mid season contract negotiations and lock this guy in for the next 5-6 years.

Ok. Maybe the Brad Penny experiment isn't working. 7 runs in 3 innings.

Sweet.. didn't know we had a Sox thread..

Little disappointed in Penny's outing tonight .. however, the inning would have been over with a 5 - 1 lead without Lowell's throwing error and Penny might have made it another 2 or 3 innings ...

At least we're still hitting the ball.

Celtics won!

Now I'm watching the rest of the Sox game. I been flipping between the two. Was to intense during the Celtics to switch back.

Penny has struggled to get anything going on the Sox. What a shame.

Pedroia has been struggling as well, but is having a good game today. 3 hits for him. David Ortiz has been struggling as well, just hoping hes not the next "Moe Vahn".

Bay has been clutch though, Varitek is doing suprisingly good, Jacoby is on fire.

8 to 8 now in the bottom of the 8th. Lets see if they can extend the streak to 12!
