Did you catch that goal clusterf**k in the last minute? Man what a finish. I thought it was going to OTSD. Penguins were fired up. Osgood played a great game though. He defended some major attacks. After game five I wasn't sure what was going to happen. Our son wants the Redwings. I just like a good game.

Wings will come out flying in game 7.....they were only a post away from the tie and then of all people on the breakaway it had to be cleary and his hands of stone.......oh well the wings will win game 7 and cindy criesby can go home empty handed again

I have never been religious, but tonight, I know that there is a Gawd.
We saw something not seen in quite a while. When a game has a 50/50 chance of going either way, the Mighty Wings are mortal. Mere men among men. Human in fact. Not these uber-Mensch beings that perform miracle after miracle.
It is over.
The decline has begun, a bit louder & quicker than expected but nonetheless, it has begun.
Nothing stays the same anymore, The powerful myth is now shattered, Internal self doubt has begun.
The system to put teams away as early & quick as possible had flaws in it this entire run. Their second Game 7 this year. Very telling.
And all those hefty, long & very big contracts. Oy vey!!

Congrats to the Pens.
Perseverance and not giving up was your Best of Friends tonight. That was the ONLY thing that saved you and frankly, in sports, thats the only friend you need. Its a mind game. Tonight, the Pens stared Fear in the face and they pushed forward and won. For that, they do deserve something and anybody trying to take that away from them will fail.

Thats unfortunately a common response right now.
Its not so much that we are happy for Pittsburgh, but more so that we are happy that Mighty Detroit has fallen.
Although with me I clearly have a strong bias towards Crosby and his Canadian roots. And I am happy for Pittsburgh, the underdog beating the Wings. Its still overall more of a Glad To See The Giant Fall.

What a great final game. Couldn't have been better. I was out of my seat for those last 4 minutes. Ahhhh Mhan! Awesome edge of your seat hockey. Fleury's awkward save at the end is an already Epic Moment.
Just Wow.

I do have to say that I was EXTREMELY ANNOYED AND FULL OF INTENSE ANGER to see the Horrible Wings Fans Boooooo the Pens when the Cup came out (before Bettman even set foot on the ice). I felt like dropping a bomb right on top of Joe Louis when I was watching and hearing that.
I guess its natural in many buildings and in Philly for example, if the visitor won in that building, I would expect a much worse response with the ice being littered with fan thrown objects. I do "get it". Still though, that pissed me the h*ll off when I heard that.

With all the natural and understood hate towards Crosby, I dont get how people say that he is over-rated. Not liking the guy is totally fine. But saying that he is undeserving or not a great player confuses me. Cant people differentiate between Hate and Understood Talent?

How can someone with the following regular season stats be over-rated?

This year alone Crosby averaged 1.34 points per game. If you can define that as Over Rated and Not Incredible. You have some of the World's greatest and highest standards that anybody has ever seen.

^^^ Sorry man .. But theres no way they booed the Pens for winning the Cup ... They cheered Malkin for winning and gave the pens the same credit. The booed bettman, and if the booed before hand it was because they knew he was on his way out. I was watching and stand my ground. Being a die hard rangers fan i hate the Pens. But i knew going into these finals that they were way more ready this year then they were last year. In fact i was suprised they dropped the first two games... Hey, you know what they say... your not in trouble until you loose at home right?

It was a good series. I'm guessing your a pens fan? LOL . Yeah, it was a good final, but i must say my favortive matchup of the playoffs was the Pens VS Washington. I wish that would have been the ECF.

I was just wondering if you couild let me know how you like it? Is it contructed well and how is it doing with humidity and whatnot. I really think its a nice piece from what i can tell from pictures.

On the booing. You could very well be right.
Maybe Bettman's mug was on the JumboTron up top before he stepped out.
I dont remember the exact moment now, maybe it was as you say Malkin getting the Smythe, but there was a lot of clapping. Oh no, it was when Mario kissed the Cup. Thats when they clapped.
I hope your right and it would be nice if I was wrong on this one.

Loved it when I saw my team (the Pathetic Sharks) beat up on them for the past two match-ups. Both of which I was at the game.
Nah, like I said, its more a hatred of Detroit.
We all hate the best ones and this is no different.
Fully respect as a team and I admire their system to no end.
I hate them though. So naturally I cheer for anyone they play against.
Except Anaheim, I cant stand the Ducks and that series was tough to watch.

It's hard for me to type through my tears.

The Pens played a great game, the Wings played an average game, that's the playoffs for ya. I thought it was one of the best hockey games I've ever seen. In fact, I'd put it #2 after the Brawl in Hockey Town (26 March 1997 Colorado @ Detroit) but I'm a huge Darren McCarty fan and biased against the Avs anyway. That won't be the only cup the Pens win in the next 10 years that's for sure, and it won't be the only chance the Wings have.

My friend and I actually made a replica of the Stanley cup(ok so my wife helped alot cuz ours was lame) and had champagne cooling and everything, we were in for a real party that's the truth. Even though the Wings lost we still drank out of the chalice celebrating the season, not the Red Wings, but all the NHL. This has been one of the most exciting hockey seasons I've watched in a long time. Young guys stepping up, unlikely rookies, veterans coming back, it was a great year. I'll post some of the pics if you guys want. I just don't want to be flamed since I'm in my Wings shirt and we didn't win.


Again, one hell of a game, I couldn't bring myself to look on-line and see all the news about Sid and Geno celebrating. But, I'm so glad the Detroit fans acted classy toward the Pens, it was well deserved, but I'm soooooo glad they booed Bettman... it really seems like no one likes him.

As much as I don't like the Red Wings, being from Dallas/Ft.Worth, it was a very entertaining series. Pittsburgh did play better in game 7 and Detroit did look old and tired. Cudos to Pittsburgh, but Crosby better learn some respect.
