it wont matter if Favre drives the plane or makes a comeback in "Something about Mary II)( in fact I would rather see that sequel than worry about what he does)

if he was serious about playing he would have off-season surgery and come to camp early to get in shape
the season starts in less than a month and he has done nothing
I think he was a great QB but he should get serious or just retire

I would have liked a different option, but something is better than nothing.

With a four game suspension still looming in the background for the two Williiams and not a whole lot at WR, we will probably suffer the big let down.

I'd say this was probably a desperation move by Childress to field a playoff team, win a playoff game and keep his job after three somewhat disappointing seasons.

I've been following these guys for years and it just keeps getting worse all the time. It's like they lead you down the path and then "Wham" slam the door. IMHO one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL, and I've followed them since the days of Mr. Tarkenton.

I'm pretty stoked. I love Favre and in anticipation of his comeback, I bought tix on the 50 yard line to the Vikes v. Bears game on Dec. 28th (MNF). Could be the deciding game for the NFC North. The value on those tix just skyrocketed with Favre's return to the NFL.

Personally, I just love watching the guy play. And, the Vikings are going to be a FORCE in the nfl this year. Load the box and Favre beats you deep to Berrian. And if you don't load the box, well, the best RB in the NFL eats you up. Vikings, Bears, and Packers are all gonna be reeeeal good. My poor Lions are still garbage tho

The 39-year-old quarterback turned his back on retirement for the second time in as many years, agreeing Tuesday to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

The deal is worth between $10 million to $12 million, according to ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

The Vikings made it official with a news release early Tuesday afternoon. A news conference to introduce Favre is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.

Here is what I think, if you want to see him play you should have bought tickets to the season opener, he will not be around on Dec 28th. If he is he will not be any good (look at late last season with the Jets). I hope he only lasts a couple weeks, I want to see what Sage can do on a good team. I think most will be surprised. The nedia loves talking crap about Sage but I have been watching him here in Houston the last few years and I'm telling you he would be great with the Vikes!
