1. Texas Bullets
2. Esoteric Scoregasms
3. Tmanqz Nubs
4. Suretolose
5. 8ball917
6. Muellators
7. Maduro Maniac's
8. Fear the Oreo
9. Nismo's RamRods
10. Band Geek's Revenge
11. The Irish Hammer
12. Cumming Bulldogs
Hmm, I think I like the list and have to concur with the rankings (at this point in time, but I feel my team will rise to the occasion).

As T.O. would say, "Best get'cha ready!!"

This should be a BLAST!!

Cummins, I am not sure where you drafted but I believe you got a kicker in the 2nd round (albeit it was a great one)

At least he will be worth around 150 points! Damn the 2nd round! I remeber seeing that and thinking DAMN hey more players left for me to pick from. Maybe it was the 3rd instead of the 2nd LOL

HA HA, I like the idea of being the underdog. I drafted 12 last year and won 2 championships from that position. Im sure ill be in the mix at the end. U can count on that. LOL.

As I see it the first few weeks are a wash. Guys don't really show their true color until at least week 4. Geez I know week one is never a good show of what your players can really do til they knock the "rust" off

I think the best thing that we can all agree on is that we pretty much all have a good shot at winning and the sheer randomnimity (is that a word?) of it all is outstanding!!

Agreed. A good amount of fantasy football is pure luck. However, I'm pretty confident I will still be around in the standings by the end of the year.

I agree you will be around (circa #4) whilst I sit on the top spot and crush all oponents...until round one of the playoffs when I am the number one seed and get eliminated by the lowest seed. I swear that has happened the past 2 years!!

#1 seed and almost top in every relevant category but get knocked out in the first or second round.

/end rant

All BS aside though, I have a lot of motivation to win this league because I just found out that my rim on my car was not warped as I suspected but rather I have a broken strut on the front driver's side. $120 to fix. I was thinking that isn't too bad but they checked the passenger side strut and it was "exploded" as well as my CV axle is broken in half. Not to mention the strut anchor is busted and my rear shocks are shot to shiznit. That is going to set me back some!! lol.

It sucks but the good part is that I actually made it to the place. My car was shaking when I went above 45 MPH so I brought it to the place to be checked out. They lifted it up and the tire was just hanging and the mechanic said "Holy sheepshit, how'n the hell did you make it here?!?!" LOL

Re: Puff Fantasy Football News and Banter Thread

Ok here's a relatively honest breakdown on part of my roster (the part I can remember at work).

QB -Romo usually consistent, no more T.O as a distraction. He’ll be able to spread the ball around with out the whining, which can make him a tad more dangerous. Yeah they have some good RB’s but he’ll still throw it. Last year he had a 3400+ yd and 26 tds, not bad for missing three weeks either. I think I can bank on him for an avg 14 points a week or more.

RB's Westbrook and Jacobs, Yeah both may be injury prone, but they both versatile RBs who get all-purpose yards week in and week out and a lot of Goal line TD opportunities. Easily average around 10 points or more a week.

TE – COOOOLEY (I’m a bit of a fan) He’s been a top 10 TE the past few years, Last year only got 1 or 2 TD’s but did get close to 900 yds, Points are points. This year he’ll get at least 5-7 TD’s and again close to 900 yds because the o-line and Campbell are playing better and Chris has improved his route running.

K - Mason Crosby – the guys legit, he makes the big kicks when he needs to, not to mention the offense is a little weak in the red-zone so they have to rely on him more.

DEF/ST – Tennessee: umm Duh. Honestly any of the top 10-15 D’s will be good for points.

WR’s - Donnie Avery is healed and looks to have a break out year I’ll put him down for close to an 800 yard-ish season and close to double digit touchdowns. TJ No more Ocho to contend with and Hasselbeck is looking at a stellar season and TJ will get a lot of looks which will equal a lot of points.

My Thoughts on Fantasy Sports

Fantasy sports are great it’s like D&D for sports guys and gets one involve in what’s going on with a particular sport of player. It’s made me a bigger sports fan, especially with hockey.

But my Uncle-in-law-to-be made a great point the other night. Fantasy makes people only worry about stats aka Stat guys. It takes them out of all the other factors of the game. I totally agree. If you only look at stats and try to base you decision off of that you will not be as successful. There are so many other human dimensions that people leave out. Anyone who has played a sport competitively can relate. Plus looking only a stats takes the fun and emotion out of watching. What funis their watching sports without emotion. I know I love yelling “yeah baby yeah” or various expletives and clapping or throwing things. It’s great.

I think to be successful at fantasy and even gambling to a small extent you have to look at the human factor. A “Where is their head at” kind of thing. How are their injuries, how’s the team chemistry, are their coaching changes, did some cry about their QB again, etc. The list goes on and hopefully you see my point.
