I promise you that when Stallworth gets reinstated that I will start the same type of thread.

With that said, the difference in the behavior between the two "men" (and I use that term lightly) is that one was DWI and a man ran out in front of him from nowhere and he hit him which resulted in his death. Immediately following this the driver (Stallworth) phoned 911 and told them what happened (keep in mind that he did this knowing he had been drinking and would probably be in trouble). He accepted responsibility and expressed deep remorse from the time of the incident up to the present.

The other scenario involved a person (Vick) torturing dogs that didn't perform up to "his standards" by such things as electrocution, hanging until dead, slamming repeatedly to the ground until dead, and drowning. Also stealing dogs from the neighborhood to use as "bait" to train the fighting dogs. Now when this individual was caught doing this he lied to the police, his boss, his fans, and anyone else that he thought would buy it. Of course once his house of cards fell down he got up and "raed" a statement written by his lawyers telling how sorry he was. Of course while awaiting trial he failed a drug test.

Now you may say "well he was raised around dog fighting", that excuse works very well for a 12 year old, 26, not so much. But then of course it was "just dogs" that he tortured and abused. Not unlike Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and countless other psychopaths did in their youth.

Is it wrong that I want to see Favre carried off on a stretcher? Granted, it would lead to yet another wave of ridiculous media coverage, but I would enjoy it. I am pretty much ok with a Vick cheapshot as well. And as for second chances, YOU go and try and get a decent job with that on your record.

Well if Vick deserves a second (or is this his 4th) chance then Favre deserves at least 5 or 6.

The problem is Vick is not getting a second chance. He is getting what thousands of excellent former athletes would consider fulfillment of a dream.

Life's not fair,,,on that most agree. Vick and others who are able to play "the public" is what makes those who know what is going on upset with those who assert that twisted individuals deserve a second chance. You don't deserve a second chance like it's a Christmas gift,,,you earn it like you earn trust esp. after you have violated that trust. If, and that is BIG FAT IF,,,,he starts doing things that change our perspective because of his actions and cleaning up his life,,,different story. But to casually throw out statements about how he deserves a second chance after serving "time",,,that is supposed to be the equalizer for everything. You might as well put out some type of machine out there like an ATM where you screw up,,,pay your fine or "time" and you're good. You don't have to live according to what is right or wrong,,you just "pay" as you go.

I didnt see the game the other night but I heard Vick got a standing ovation. Is this correct? or just some horrible dream? Are the fans really buying into this whole "im sorry" crap? The only thing hes sorry for is that he got caught.
