Any hockey fans on here?

Just wanted to see what everyone is thinking of the upcoming season?

How do you feel about your Favorite team?

I'm feeling good about my Flyers this year. The additions of Pronger and Emery! Hopefully it will bring our first cup since 75.

Go HABS Go!!!

But seriously... I have no idea how the Canadiens are going to make out this year... I know for a fact they're going to be fast and be able to score goals; I also know for sure they're going to get beat-up once in awhile....

In the end I think they're going to make out OK in the regular seaon (7th-8th in the East) and then get destroyed in the play-offs! (Much like last year...). But I'm cheering for 'em anyways!

Go HABS Go!!!

Re: Any hockey fans on here?

I guarantee Emery will stay out of trouble off the ice. He know's it's his last chance at the NHL and doesn't want to be exiled to Siberia again. I don't mind if he gets into the rought stuff on the ice. I love a fiery goaltender, Hextall was my Fav!

I would have to agree with your assessment of the Hab's. Although I do like the Komisarek pick up. Was hoping the Flyers would go after him befor the Pronger trade, much happier about having Pronger!

Through sheer blind faith I'm cheering on my Leafs. Every year at October I convince myself that they will pull through, and every year by mid-November, I come crashing back to reality. I don't know how the team with the biggest fanbase, budget, and market can play like crap and not win the since '62! Oh well GO LEAFS GO!

Hextall and Pelle Lindbergh, my all time 2 favorite goalies. Hextall grew up just down the road from me in Brandon, Mb.

Go Leafs go.... Until Balsille can bring Hamilton a team, then I'm jumping ship for a viable alternative!

Re: Any hockey fans on here?

Sharks fan here!! We were at the game when Gretzky tied Howe's goal record. It was a home and home series and he broke the record the next night in L.A. We bought the tickets months in advance and thought he would break it weeks earlier, but then he went into a slump. That night he needed two goals to tie and got them in a 6-6 tie with the Sharks. Pretty cool (except the tie, that's like kissing your sister).
