Tito can be a cocky guy, but I think this works to his advantage in this situation. He gets Ken so riled up on the Ultimate Fighter show, and I think Ken will go in and fight an emotional fight...that can lead to a mistake.

The bad news is the fight could end quickly if Ken fights with too much emotion and not enough smarts. The good news is Brent always sends out such nice smokes!

I'd be worried if he was fighting Liddell. He's not.

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

It's not that Tito doesn't have a solid chin, it's that when he takes a solid punch, he get's intimidated and cowers. That's the issue. When have you EVER seen Tito knocked out?

I think when Tito fought Couture and Liddell, there was too much emotion in the fight on Tito's side. When he fought Couture, all he really wanted was a shot at Liddell, and the bad feelings between Liddell and Tito caused his downfall in that fight too.

Tito got the ring-rust off in the Forrest Griffin bout.. Watch out for him now.. Time to get your Team Punishment beanies out boys.. Gonna be a hell of a fight..

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

Here is the last Shamrock that Tito fought. It was Ken's brother Frank Shamrock. Glass Jaw Tito getting his head pounded till he tapped. Get my sticks ready icshog.

Tito looks at his best in that pic. Face down tapping saying, "I am the Huntington Beach Bad Boy. Please don't hit me in the face again" Atleast Gracie is man enough not to tap to Hughes when Hughes was beating his head in the mat. I mean c'mon what kinda heart has Tito got if he taps to punches.

Go Ken Shamrock!!!!!

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

I'm with CBF on this one Ken might get beat but there is no way I'm pullin for Ortiz! I'm hoping for a hellmary! Or a chokeout...Come on Ken!

Since Ken got beat so bad last time I think this should be a 2 to 1 bet for CBF Shamrock wins he gets 10...Ortiz wins you get 5....Seems fair...

Yeah but Ken is/was better than Frank. And not making excuses for Shammy , but his knee was very messed up in their first fight. Will be fun to see if Tito's healed up before this fight. If tito stands with shamrock he will get knocked out. i can't see Tito taking those shot that Fujita took from Shamrock. Of course Fujita has a head like Homer Simpson you can't hurt it. If the fight goes to the ground. Tito will try to smash at Shammy, but with his recently fractured leg if he is on the ground and Shammy gets a leglock look out. He is a master of leg locks. Most interesting thing will be to see how shammy fairs this time if he isn't injured. Of course he has the age factor against him. I love the old guys tho. And I hate Tito!!!

UFC 61: Bitter Rivals - Saturday, July 8 - Live from Mandalay Bay
Las Vegas, NV – The UFC® tag “As Real As It Gets®” will never ring more true than when two pairs of arch-enemies step inside the Octagon™ to settle unfinished UFC business. First, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz will take on “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock in the ultimate grudge rematch. Then, the UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia will battle Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski in the ultimate rubber match for the UFC heavyweight title. All four fighters will have the chance to settle the score at UFC 61: BITTER RIVALS taking place live the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, July 8.

“UFC 61 is going to be unlike any other event we’ve ever had,” said UFC President Dana White. “The rivalry between these fighters is real, the tension is thick, and the stakes are at an all time high, so believe me when I tell you that on July 8 you are going to see some incredible fights.”

Tickets priced at $750, $500, $300, $200 and $100 (not including applicable services or taxes) for UFC 61: BITTER RIVALS are now on sale. Tickets will be sold at any Mandalay Bay box office and all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (Tower Records/WOW!, Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Robinsons-May stores and Ritmo Latino). To charge by phone with a major credit card, call the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580 or Ticketmaster at (702) 474-4000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.ufc.com, www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com.

UFC 61: BITTER RIVALS also is available live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, Bell ExpressVu, Shaw Communications and Viewer’s Choice Canada for a suggested retail price of $39.95.

Ortiz (14-4-0), fighting out of Huntington Beach, Calif., is known for his strength and tenacity as a submission fighter. He returned to the UFC last April to take on rising star Forrest Griffin, winning by split decision in one of the most incredible three rounds of fighting ever to take place in the Octagon. Ortiz is on the comeback trail and wants to defeat Shamrock to not only prove he is the better fighter, but also to position himself for another shot at the light heavyweight crown.

Shamrock (26-10-2), hailing from San Diego, is a UFC Hall of Famer with some of the best submission skills in the game. He is returning to fight in the UFC to take on his nemesis Ortiz and settle their grudge for the final time. Shamrock last fought against Rich Franklin at The Ultimate Fighter Season One Finale, losing by TKO at 2:42 of the first round. Previously, he defeated Kimo Leopoldo by TKO at UFC 48.
