Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

Well now the fights are in the books with Ortiz and Sylvia winning. Largely a uninspiring UFC PPV, especially the Heavyweight fight. Exciting to hear Wanderlei Silva will be fighting in the UFC in November (against Liddell, assuming he beats Babalu next month). Wonder what happens if Babalu beats Liddell (maybe Silva vs. Babalu or Ortiz). Guess we will see.

The Arlovski/Sylvia fight was a bunch of bullshit.

Honestly, I am disgusted. I'm going to bed.

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

Damn! Damn! Damn! What's worse than losing a bet ?
Losing a bet because the F@$%^@% Referee stops the fight to danged early. I mean I know Dana White doesn't like Ken ,but is this sport getting as bad as boxing with the Refs? They made Ken look bad thru out TUF competition. All the while portraying Tito as a "nice "guy, which he isn't. Then they stop the fight early, sounds fishy. Dana White knows Tito is more marketable than Ken, and Ken wasn't really interested in any other fights. Tito showed his true arse hole colors tho, when he "dug the grave". This fight would never have been stopped if it were Pride. But that's the breaks with an idiot ref,and Dana White running things. Ok I will stop my bitching and whining now.

One thing I did find funny tho is how Tito will not be getting a shot at Chuck Liddel as they announced that Liddel will fight (get destroyed by) Wanderlei Silva. If Chuck beats Babalu in a bout next month.

Night ,Night Chuck!!! Meet the Axe Murderer!!!

Icehog3 your sticks will be otw this week sometime. I will send you the DC# when I send them.

Oh, tom if you wanna take Liddel against Wanderlei i will gladly bet you again on that fight.

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

Awful card, the heavyweight fight was a joke.

I wish the Ortiz/Shamrock fight had gone longer, but if you watch in slow motion, Shamrock wasn't successfully blocking any of Tito's elbows...a few more of those would have meant (more) brain damage for The World's (used to be) Most Dangerous Fighter. All in all, I wish they hadn't stopped it...they should have let Tito put Ken in the hospital.

Brent, I'll get back to you on the Liddel - Wanderlei fight. Never seen the axe-murderer fight, wanna search for some video before making that call. It was fun betting with you even though the fight sucked.

Didn't see it, but sounds bad. Until I see the that the Axe Murderer is coming. I like Chuck, but no way he wins(if he beats Babalu). I'll also take a bet with anyone that wants Liddel. Wanderlei's stare down scares me through the tv.

BTW, a DVD is supposed to be released soon of Dana White and Ortiz sparring with Dana pretty much taking him to school. Dana is a former boxer and MMA fighter too.

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

As much as I wanted Ken to win the fight went pretty much how I thought it would. Was stoped a bit to early but I really dont think Ken was going to do much else but eat elbows if they let the fight go on.

If I was Chuck Liddel I would book a room in the ER because Wanderlei is going to break more then a few bones in Chuck's face. Wanderlei is just a much better fighter. I can't wait for everyone to see how standard Chuck really is when he fights a real world class fighter.

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

the two main fights were very anti-climatic. the sylvia fight was BORING, and i really wish they would have let tito put to rest all of shamrocks smacktalk and atleast allowed him to drop a few more elbows so shamrock wouldn't have been able to pop up and storm out of the ring...

Re: Shamrock Verses Ortiz in UFC

I would hate to say this but ortiz has the advantage. I love Shamrock but he is out dated. He should of retired a long time ago. I hate ortiz just because he thinks he is the best. And we all know that isn't true. So I hope Shamrock wins.
