I respectfully disagree with you here Skipper. I'm sick of all the sports people saying "you have a bigger target on you now" blah blah blah. Everyone always wants to beat us. We are The Ohio State University.

I have a feeling the BCS will be very F'ed up this year with a lot of people upset (what's new, right?!?). Starting out number 1 and winning all of our games ensures we will be playing for the title. It is the closest to a given you can get with this system. We control our own destiny and I like it that way.

Furthermore, I think that a loss at Texas doesn't knock us out of the BCS games, or, and I'll go out on a limb here, the national title game being that early in the season. A loss against Michigan though probably will be the difference between the Sugar Bowl or the Capital One Bowl.

Tough schedule, but the offense will be better. Probably a year away still.

Hey, Tx at Tx as the number 2 game is a tough one -- and then to go through Michigan MSU etc is a tough row to hoe -- If they lose early and then go undefeated they might make it, and will certainly have earned it.

That will be a tough game for sure and they do have a tough schedule. I think we can go undefeated with a little luck.

Re: College Football National Champ Picks

Well, they played like the Knoxville High School teams last year but I have high hopes for a return to the SEC championship and then a BCS bowl. Now, this does not mean that I am confident it just means that I am a very optimistic person. In all reality I believe that it is wide open this year with ND being a very tough team if they can tighten up their defense (no more big games for The Ohio State).

Wow, i have to like you. Myself being a Trojan alum season ticket holder. But my old man is a WVU alum season ticket holder. I don't think there has been a college football team in history that has been more underated by the polls than WVU. They do have a weak schedule, but they have momentum starting at the gates this year and if they go undefeated and they don't make the champ game i will personally find out every bullsh!t BCS computer and smash it. I fear this season could end in a match between father and son.

Re: College Football National Champ Picks

I think WVU will be better than USC this year.

If I had to pick a winner not based on who I want to win, but who I think will win, unfortunately I'd have to say ND. Much better than That Ohio State though!

Re: College Football National Champ Picks

I really hope you're right. I think WVU is a deserving team and should get more national attention, a few big wins like against ND would help.

I am not a ND fan, just think they have a good team that has some experience now, and obviously one of the best coaches.
