I'm In... never done either of these types so I guess we will see how it goes. Is the "spread" where you pick the 2 qb's and that each week? (fyi, I'm average joe's since nothing there points to my CS name)

the "spread" means the "point spread" in the weekly pick'em league (pigskin pick'ems). where you have to choose who'll cover the spread, not just who'll win the game, which (i think) is how betting in vegas goes, you have to cover the spread.

now, the salary cap league is simple. you have to pick your players you start each week and stay under the alloted salary cap.
each week, you can choose new players or keep the ones you have, it's up to you.
here's some advice - when your player does good one week, his "market value" goes up, but if he's on your roster, his salary stays the same.
lets say you have priest holmes and he costs 6M, then he has a great week and his market value goes up to 6.7M... you still have him at 6M until you cut him. say you resign him a few weeks later, he costs you 7M, then has 2 bad games, his market value goes down to 6.4M. you can click a link on there and "renegotiate" his salary back down from the 7M to the 6.4M, saving you money.

i use to play on "sandbox.com" a long time ago, and two years in a row, i finished in the top 250 out of 95,000+ (won a t-shirt). i do NOT advise going to that site, it's referred to as "spambox" because of all the spam you get once you register (i still get it).

if anyone needs more help with the "salary cap" league, let me know. hell, i'll even show you my first weeks roster right now to give you an idea. but i will probably change a few players before week 1, namely the RBs and get a cheaper WR to make salary room for one or two different ones.

so you don't have to re-pick every week?

i think you only joined 1 league. there are two.
one is like a weekly office pool where you pick the winners every week. yes, you have to pick every week for that.
the other is a salary capped league where you pick players to start for your team every week and how they do in that weekends games gives you points. it's another version of fantasy football, only everyone can own any player they choose as long as they stay under their salary cap. <--- i noticed you didn't join up for that one.

there are 5 teams who joined up for "gridiron challenge"

there are 6 teams who joined up for "pigskin pick'em"

when picking, should you try and get as close to the 50 cap as you can?
