I can remember George hitting one out and drilling the scoreboard in center field. That was a shot!

You can add another one. Virgin poster here. Saw Pete Rose as a kid while visiting San Diego. Been a fan ever since. I know people will rip on Petey, but there was not a person with more passion or love for the game as a player then him. #14 will always be one of the games best all-around players ever.

Charlie hustle was a pure lover of the game. I got so mad when they traded Frank Robinson to Baltimore. They said he was an old 29 year old. Sparky was a great manager as well as Fred Hutchinson. And how can you forget Johnny Bench, the best catcher ever in my opinion.

Changed the way the position was played Skipper. Bench was the chit mon. They always had a mediocre pitching staff but between Bench and Sparky they made it work. Man those pennant races every season with the Dodgers was edge of the seat dramatic for years, then the NLCS against Pittsburg were so great. I sure miss those days, game is different for me now. I still enjoy the game but don't have much interest in the players anymore. Enjoying AAA games more these days.

Used to talk to my dad on the phone about baseball every night for at least an hour for years until he passed 13 years ago. We'd argue about Sparky alot. Pop didn't like him much, but then again I think dad only liked a few managers and players.

Till the day I die. My dad use to take me to see the Reds during the Big Red Machine days. With Rose, Griffey, Concepcion, Foster, Bench never forget those games and the special times. The reds will always be my baseball team. It's good seeing them winning. My son is a big Reds fan as well. Looks like the family tradition will continue.
