Should be an interesting game for sure. And not sure I want to deal with traffic this game is going to cause.

Interesting thig is when UT won last year there was a lot of people out haveing a good time. No riots, not major problems at all. I was glad to see that.

And he did put a lot of effort in that web site for sure.

Don't make me come and turn your car over and set it ablaze. There are incidents in Columbus for sure. They are not fans, they are there to start sh*t. It can happen anywhere, unfortunately it happens in Columbus as well.

smokey, I knew you would bring up the Michigan incident. Not that I am condoning that in any way, but drunk unruly college kids are everywhere. Fans are bound to get yelled at, stuff thrown at them, etc. Rioting here was a big problem, it isn't so much anymore.

Wanna see bad fans? Go to a Wisconsin football game dressed in the garb of the opposing team. I've heard stories of people being in fear of their own life. They take it way too far.

But your opinion is your opinion and a guy on an internet message board can't change that. It is the best college football experience and I am proud to be a part of it. If everyone thought the way I did, it wouldn't be what it is.

why you baggin on Oklahoma State we don't ever riot. you actually have to have a winning season to tear sh!t up . we just want to compete on a national level.

i gotta go with Mac Brown on this one I like that guy.

i don't know, in my experiences it always happens on neal ave. my friend used to rent a townhouse down there and it was always hell walking that mile or so if they lost. he even used to park his jeep 5 miles away when they played michigan incase they lost. he eventually moved because he got tired of it. it sucked because we always had a good time before the game on high street and at the varsity club and at heinegate. crap always seem to start after the game if they lost. i'm a tennessee fan and go to neyland stadium quite a bit and i've never seen anything even close. that was years ago though in the cooper era i haven't been back since my buddy move away. i'm sure things have changed since then, it just left a bad impression on me.

Ohio State hatin' has become a media pile on of late. And yes...there was a period of a few years where there was a social phenomenon / crowd mentality that was ugly around Neil Ave and just off of High Street in the frat areas. It was way overplayed in the media and led to a rather unfair portrayal of Ohio State football fans. I've lived here all of my life, went to OSU and have spent many, many games on and near campus. OSU fans are passionate. They are generally not violent. There is a long history here that shouldn't be overshadowed by a few bad years. This period also coincided with the closing of a lot of campus bars. The result was partying outside of the controlled environment of the bar scene and a 2 AM closing time. The street parties that ensued led to a lot of younger fans acting out and losing control and wandering the streets at 4 am egging each other on. Further, some of the most extreme behavior and resulting arrests included a lot of out of towners, too...something that received little coverage or emphasis. Bad decision by the university using the quasi-corporate entity "campus partners." And a perfect example of how a good intention poorly executed can fail miserably. The university thought that simply closing down watering holes would change the fundamental desire for students to drink. It backfired and then exploded.... Many of us were just waiting for it to happen...and it did.

There is nothing like a game in the shoe. Until you've been here you would just not believe the energy. Absolutely electric and puts pro crowds and most college crowds to shame...

--------------

Oh come let's sing Ohio's praise
And songs to Alma Mater raise
While our hearts rebounding thrill
With joy which death alone can still
Summer's heat or winter's cold
The seasons pass the years...will..roll
Time and change will surely show
How firm thy friendship ... O-HI-O!
