Re: Hockey Fights/Brawls...

My fav all time was quite a few years ago. Tie Domi for the rangers and Darius Kasparitus (sorry for spellings) fought a battle and went to the box. As SOON as they get out of the box they drop thier gloves and pick up RIGHT where they left off. Saw it comming from the exchange of words between the two in the box it was GREAT.

My other memorable fight was a bench clearer between the Philly Fliers and the NJ Devils. Everybody was in it and then Martin Broudur and (my fav golie) Ronnie Hextall got into it. Broudur flipped the helmet and dropped his gloves, Hextall however left the helmet on and only dropped his glove. Broudur ate blocker that night.

Here's a cool video full of hard hits and fights. I love the flying goalie.

I think the brawl where the Bruins climbed the glass at MSG and then beat one of the fans with his own shoe was classic.

Something interesting I found. A minor league enforcer challenging a NHL guy. Sometimes you just have to give things a shot. Mike Valley vs Kip Brennan

I always thought this was funny. Rob Ray whooping on a fan that jumped into the sabres bench. Even the players that were fighting on the ice stopped what they were doing to watch.

"Thats when we took a little force to him"

I love it on a couple of reasons. The guy wanted to try and test his skills against a pro and got the chance. But it's freaking nuts that Brennan excepted.

Their size and skill were just too drastically separated. But again, respect for trying.

That was pretty funny bro. Just goes to show you how hard-core hockey players are. Because Mike Vallely is the guy from the CKY vid that took on 4 guys in a parking lot and whipped their ass. So for him to "tap out" so to speak after two hits speaks volumes about Hockey Enforcers

Re: Hockey Fights/Brawls...

I was at an early 90's Devils vs. Rangers pre-season game in the Garden. I don't remember who won or lost, but at the end of the game, both teams just got into a major brawl...the refs were already off the ice and every player on each team was involved! It lasted like 15 minutes and was actually broken up by MSG security! It was awesome....and pre-season!!

On another note... I used to work with a guy in the late '90s that would record every game that was ever on TV and ESPN Sportscenter everynight and just edit and keep the fights....he had a massive collection....tons of fights. Last I heard, he used to sell copies on eBay!!

Vallely is a legit tough motherf**ker. I agree for him to tap like that shows that hockey enforcers are tough motherf**kers too. Mike V has never been shy about fighting.

Here is the video of him kicking the chit outta the four jocks that were harassing the skaters. Goes to show, just cause you ride a board doesn't make you a b*tch.

I was at a game between the Hawks and North Stars in the early 90's that had a similar incident. All 40 players involved in a pre-game brawl during warm-ups with no refs on the ice. Shane Churla of the Stars beat Wayne Van Dorp of the Hawks so badly that Van Dorp couldn't play in the game, he was a bloody mess. It lasted about 20 minutes, and was broken up by the North Stars coach coming on the ice and ordering his players off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5WdSLuf8_I

Re: Hockey Fights/Brawls...

Meh. Hockey players are just agressive because they're all disgruntled figure skaters who didn't make it to the Olympics.
