I was getting alot of flack at work today about how easy the mets would fall without Pedro... he won 4 games after april...

Mets are done. I still think we'll get a subway series, but the Yankees now match them in pitching, and out muscle them in hitting.

Hey Virtual... I do believe the yankees have the best team right now in MLB... but the Mets should be able to walk through the NL... sorry to the rest of you Padre, Dodger, and Cards fans... I think a subway series will be much more competitive than in 2000... I'd have to say that the mets are a better defensive team, have a better bullpen, and can manufacture a run... the yankees can hit for a ton of power, but do you honestly feel like you can count on Arod to stay hot? Personally I think hes gonna fold up like oragami starting next week, and I think shefield at 1st base is going to be a liability somewhere in the post season.

Besides Schilling, Pedro is my idol as far as pitchers go, hes the one I modeled my pitching delivery after. Anyways, when the Sox decided not to offer him a lot of cash to stay in Boston because they knw he wouldnt hold up I was ticked at first but knew that they were right and now its starting to look like a good decision letting him walk. His body is starting to fail him big time.

Sucks for pedro, I have always liked him. Yet, it would not have made a difference. The winner of the WS is coming out of the A.L. and it's that other team in NY.
