Our oldest daughter and all my money went to MU awhile back. Columbia is about 30 miles away so we have been to a few games. They are really playing well this year.

Here is a short write up on todays game.

Chase Daniel threw for 171 yards and a touchdown, and Missouri returned two interceptions for scores as the 23rd-ranked Tigers beat Texas Tech 38-21 on Saturday to start 6-0 for the first time in 33 years.

My daughter and her husband who also graduated from MU are really excited. Football is a lot of fun in Mid Missouri right now.

Mizzou grad here ... I'm not getting too excited just yet. It is nice to be nationally ranked but we still have to play the Sooners and Cornhuskers.

Texas A&M and Nebraska are away. Oklahoma is at home. I think they have a shot at all of them but Oklahoma even at home is going to be tough.
At least they will make it to a bowl and it may be a good one if they can win a few more games.

I live in Columbia, (didn’t go to Mizzou, went to a private college here, but still a fan) and I’ll admit that I haven’t had much confidence in the program in quite a while. I thought they looked good the first few games but after the Tech game last night I am a believer. Before this season I was ready to toss Pinkel and maybe even just give up and decide that MO just doesn’t have the glitz and glam of a costal school and couldn’t attract top recruits. Well hopefully I was wrong, Coach Pinkel just needed some time to get established and build, Daniels looks like a top QB and that D is solid. A season like this (so far at least) will really pull in top players. I really think they can hang with the big boys of the Big 12, make a serious run at the Big 12 Title, and land a GOOD bowl not just some corndog bowl. It’s going to be fun to see how they compete with Oklahoma and Nebraska. This is clearly my 2 cents – I really hope I don’t see this post somewhere after the Tigers go on a 5 game slide - lol.
