Who Should be the New Cubs Manager?
I know there are some Cubs fans (and haters) here, and those who don't care. I'm a fan and I'd like to know who you want/think should be the new Cubs manager and why.
Looks like it is down to Piniella, Girardi and Brenley, w/ Piniella getting the lastest surge to the top. I would personally like to Girardi hired. He's a local kid that grew up as a Cubs fan and also played for the Cubs. He would have the most incentive to see the Cubs win and it would be great PR for the Cubs as well. Piniella is a great coach and would be a great addition to the Cubs, but the connection Girardi has to the team gives him the edge in my book.

I think they should give Bartman a chance to redeem himself.
 But really it should be Girardi.

Girardi all the way. Or at least for a couple years when all the cubs fans are calling for his head. Jesus Christ could manage this team and we would still be in the cellar.
I mean that in all respect Jesus. I believe managing the cubs is one of the levels of hell for baseball managers. Luckly the last couple deserved it. |

Piniella is a good manager but I think he will stay with anouncing until he gets a team he can take to the WS.
