It should have been Michigan and LSU or USC vs. LSU...god damn this bullshit system. Now, I get to watch a repeat of last years game against Miami....LSU 53 and ND 3
Yes. LSU did not get a very good deal and has a right to feel slighted, IMO.

Doesn't bother me. I just hope at the end it is

1. Florida
2. LSU

Nah, I think the "human pole" will realize their mistake when Ohio St. handles Florida. I don't think Florida is even close to being a dynamic team good enough to take on a team like Ohio St. Michigan would have made a better National Champ. game, But what can we do now.

Re: BCS Games Selections

I am 100% for a playoff system. I really do not care for the BCS deal too damn much...but its what we got. Go LSU...hope to see a good OSU/UF game....Theres too much debate over this whole thing....Each conference is different and some are filled with too many outstanding teams...look at 2 SEC teams in the top 10 not playing in BCS games b/c of the rules....its really them that are getting the shaft...not Michigan. The whole system is whacky and I hope to god they change this. Every year the controversy seems to overshadow the games...

So Tim, you wanna wager some smokes on the OSU/UF Game?

I'd bite your tongue good sir...Florida seems to be ahead in some of the stats and nobody can deny the tough schedules the SEC holds...The Big 10 might truely find out what it means to play a GOOD team.

Re: BCS Games Selections

Yeah, stats is stats. But I've seen both teams play and it's my honest opinion that Florida is a much inferior team than Ohio St. (on both sides of the ball). Anyways, aren't you an LSU Fan? I sure the hell am!

Yes...LSU fan first, SEC second, F**k the rest.

I have to stand by my league and otherwise, Florida and Tebow look to be formidable. Chris Leak better be on his A-Game because Troy Smith is going to bring it, I just hope Florida's Defense can hold Ginn Jr.

Quite possibly the funniest post I've seen in all of these BCS threads.

Here are some stats for you:

Florida played four of the top 25 BCS teams. Only two of those teams were from the top ten. They beat Tennessee (#16 and 9-3) by 1 point. They beat LSU (#5 and 10-2) by 13 points. They beat Arkansas (#9 and 10-3) by 10 points. Arkansas got pummeled by USC by 36 points. Florida lost to Auburn (#10 and 10-2) by 10 points. Auburn, in turn, lost to UGA (unranked) by 10 points.

How do you think Leak is going to fare in the Heisman race?

BTW, you should have bolded the scoring stats.

OSU PF PA MARGIN
Scoring 36.3 10.4 25.9

FLA PF PA MARGIN
Scoring 28.8 13.5 15.4

And yes, Florida is a good team. And if OSU beats them they will be the only team in history to beat three #2 ranked teams in one season: Texas, Michigan and Florida.

I hear ya. I think I just want to see a good football game for the National Championship. I sure hope Florida does well. As it seems every year recently, someone is always "left out" or someone feels like they got a raw deal. This year it was Michigan, last year it was Auburn. I am excited to see Tebow take over the offense in the near future. That cat looks AWESOME!

Re: BCS Games Selections

If I'm not mistaken, the Big 10 typically dominates the SEC in bowl games. OSU should whup Floriday pretty good. I watch a ton of college football and really wasn't impressed with the Gators at all this year. With that being said, they did only have one loss. I expect OSU to hand it to them pretty good.

BTW - LSU vs. ND = Yawner. LSU by 21.

Of course, this is only one guys opinion.

If we get into the numbers, how can a team that only lost to the #1 team by 3 points be ranked lower than a team that lost to #11 by 10 points????

And to say Michigan had their shot, does that mean that an NFL team that loses to another team in the regular season then doesn't deserve to play them in the super bowl if they were both to make it??? Thats why you play the game.

Also, the point of the BCS is to have the #1 and #2 teams play for the national championship. Let's look at it another way, IF MICHIGAN BEAT OHIO STATE, DO YOU THINK OHIO STATE WOULD BE RANKED #3??? Hell no, there would be a rematch.

There are so many good argments for a playoff system and a lack of any good arguments for the BCS, it is amazing that the BCS system is still used.

I wanted to see LSU vs. USC...I think that would have been a barn burner!

Don't necessarily disagree. Just wanted to hear your opinion. Florida ranked above Michigan in the human polls because the participants voted their agendas. Not because they are the better team. For whatever reason, they didn't want to entertain a rematch.
