Hard to argue with him as the MVP this year. Guy had a great year and deserves the award. Do I think he's the best player in the league, no. But is he the Most Valuable Player, hell yeah, without him the Chargers go no where, hard to identify any one player more vital to his teams success. Kudos to Ladanian.

It was an easy pick this year.

No argument here! He helped me win my fantasy league, as he did many.

If not Tomlinson, who do you think is the best player in the league? If I'm not mistaken, this guy is on the way to smashing every rushing record in history. If he continues on this pace, he will go down as the best RB ever. If I had to start a team and could pick any player, he would have to be my No.1.

Well deserved award to a classy guy.

I can't believe Peyton Manning was even a consideration.

Re: Tomlinson wins MVP

IMO, it should have gone to Brees. Tomlinson had a monster year, don't get me wrong, but Brees was the main force taking a team from worst in the league to the top. San Deigo has been a contender for a number of years, although this has been their best in a while. Taking a 9-7 team to 14-2 is not as much of an accomplishment as taking a 3-13 (second worst in the league, and there for many years) team to 10-6. Creating a winning atmosphere is much harder than maintaining one.

I also think Brees should have won comeback player of the year, but that's a different argument.

Anyone considering Peyton for MVP this year was obviously either a Colts fan or drunk for the last 6 months.

Drew Brees had an outstanding year. Yet, he was not the sole reason the saints are a contender. The Saints have a good defense plus, a solid running game which makes bree's job much easier. LT deserved the right to win the MVP award. He is the most dominating player at any position.

LT deserved this hands down. A massively effective player who receives, runs, and also makes a damn fine casserole.

Re: Tomlinson wins MVP

After waiting 43 years for a season like this, I would definitely say he deserved it. Best player in the game right now? Should not be a doubt in any sober persons mind, but most valuable to his team? My pick would have been Brees. He doesn't have anywhere near the front line or supporting cast as LT. And without LT the Bolts still have one of the best backs in Turner who would start on most any other team in the league. And he will be gone next year with a huge contract, starting somewhere and becoming an all-pro. Let's not also forget Mr. Neal. How many great running backs has he helped to stellar seasons?
