Re: Dei

Sounds like some sort of family power struggle going on within DEI. Does his mother own all of the company? I had thought that Junior owned a good portion of DEI. Anyway, it really doesn't matter to me who he races for. He will be racing.

Actually it's his step-mother that owns D.E.I. He was given an ultimatum, focus on driving or hit the door. He has all kinds of side-projects going and he likes to party and he has all the $$$ he would ever need, so his focus is not entirely on racing. His family and the employees of D.E.I. have been dissapointed in him for a few years. I think he needs to get away and drive for Childress.

Re: Dei

I am torn as Junior is my favorite driver. Seems crazy that he wouldn't be driving for DEI, but who knows right? I don't know if he should drive the 3. Personally, I think that should be left alone. Let Dale stand in memory.

Ultimately, I think he is going to sign.

Re: DEI

Junior is just not that great a driver and this dog is seeing his day. He may be great for sponsors, but not for the palmares. A great driver can drive well in multiple disciplines, and from his sports car racing results, he is just average. He’s a mid-pack driver with top driver expectations from his employers and fans.

Re: Dei

Junior is a good driver, with the chance at winning a Winston Cup Championship(I refuse to call it Nextel). He just has so many projects going on and his partying lifestyle distracting him.

I think he will leave and go to Childress. And if he does go to Childress it may rejuvenate him somewhat and get him back into the "groove". I don't think he has been happy with DEI since Dale Sr. died and Teresa took over. They don't really get along. He also wants part ownership in DEI, which I think he more than deserves. If Teresa refuses to give him this i think he will be walking.

Not that any of this will really matter, as Jimmie Johnson #48 will repeat as Winston Cup Champion.

Re: Dei

I like Jr. the only problem I have with him is all the bandwagon jumpers.... I think it would be great for him to drive the black 3 in 1 race...He needs his own identity and that is 8....
