FIRE Andy(Quitter) Reid

I can't believe that Andy Reid sent in the punter on 4th and 15 , HE FLAT OUT QUIT ON THE PHILLY FAITHFUL AND HIS TEAM . OUT-COACHED AGAIN , and now add to that the title of QUITTER . He's got a winning record in the regular season and let me add that that he gave up . How can you punt in that situation ? They should have went for the TD instead of the field goal in the 4th quarter , if they don't get the TD then the Saints are buried deep and you maybe still have a shot . Sorry for my rant , I'm an Eagles fan , been one for a long time , still can't get used to this . Time to move on , Next Coach Please !

I totally agree I posted this in another thread

(The Eagles coach should be fired for punting on fourth down either way they would have lost......)

Re: FIRE Andy(Quitter) Reid

Yes, fire Andy Reid!!! I'm sure about 20+ teams will take him (coach or no coach). Congrats to NO; if any team/fans/state needed or deserved it they did. Maybe it could have been the packers 4th and 18 play...OR maybe the D could stop the run for the first time in a few, umm, years? For fans he made a bad call, but as a coach it was the right move.

He's only one of the top 3 coaches in the league, brought the team back from imminent disaster (mcnabb IR), and

# Has the highest win total and winning percentage of any coach in club history. Here's a breakdown: Regular season: 70-42 (.625)... vs. NFC: 54-30 (.643)... vs. NFC East: 29-19 (.604)... Playoffs: 7-5 (.583)... Overall: 77-47 (.621).
# Since 2000, Reid's 65 regular season wins rank first among NFL head coaches.
# Among active NFL coaches in their first seven full NFL seasons, Reid's 70-42 (.625) record ranks fifth behind Joe Gibbs, Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren and Mike Shanahan.
# Has more playoff wins (7) than any coach in club history.
# Reached the 50-win milestone faster than any coach in team history (81 games). Dick Vermeil did so in 88 games.
# Earned NFL coach of the year honors in 2002 and 2000.
# Is a member of the NFL's Competition Committee Coaches Subcommittee.
# In his 14-year NFL coaching career, his teams have made the playoffs 11 times (16-10 record). He has coached in the Super Bowl three times and in the NFC Championship game seven times.
# Owns a 14-6 record in regular season prime time games, a 47-26 mark (including playoffs) in games in November and later, and a 34-22 regular season road record.

Re: FIRE Andy(Quitter) Reid

You know, Andy will take the heat on this since he is the head coach and ultimately responsible, but I was under the impression that the Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was the one calling the plays.

Go for it on 4th and 15? Uh.......I am afraid that is suicide. I do hope they fire Andy Reid. I would love to see him in Miami.

I am not an eagles fan or hater but I really did not see the huge mistake with the punt on 4th and 15 from their spot on the field. I felt that game really came down to the poor play calling on 2 and 1 from the 4 yard line. Got to get that 1st down and then have the downs to go for the TD.
