Unfortunately, it is stories like this that reinforce my opinion that a large portion of pro athletes are a waste of DNA.
Every time I see an article like this I think about the scholarship monies that go to these fools that could be used on kids that actually are STUDENTS and not athletes using college to try to get into the NFL. Wasn't it just last week that there was a VERY surprising upset a bowl game (I can't remember, but I'm sure you know which one ), and the network aired clips of the players talking smack about respect? Not one of them could even use proper english or grammar.

Unfortunately, they believe they are above the law because our society tells them over and over again growing up that they are above the law. Thats one of the reasons that a lot of athletic stars, especially in the big team sports (football, baseball, basketball) have a hard time adjusting to real life after high school. How many times have you seen the cliche about the big high school QB who never goes anywhere with his life. It's a cliche because there's an element of truth there. I really think we as a society do these athletes a real disservice by putting them on a pedestal like this from the time they are kids. They never even have a chance to learn the skills they will need to live in the world because they don't need to. Kinda sad, really.

You can only get so far with great talent when yens are lacking between the ears. Atlanta lost a pretty good coach because of this guy. I've noticed a lot of the Vick lovers on ESPN are starting to jump off the band wagon after the dual finger salute to the fans and now this juvenile stunt. Grow up MV before your talent is gone and all you have left is that bullshit cocky attitude, because that and 50 cents is only gonna get ya local newspaper.

I'm a Lions fan and I wouldn't even want him on the team. Some people are gifted with incredible talent, they get to live out the average guys dream and still find a way to ruin their career. It's impossible for me to understand.

I hope it is marjuana and he get's kicked off the team. At least that would be some form of justice.
