Chicago Bears dismantling the team.

Angelo gets a raise and starts the free for all. jones, johnson, boone, worrel and Brown all see to be gone and briggs wants out. half the coaching staff took a hike and the guy they need to get rid of grossman is still there. looks like back to the middle of a sorry division for us.

I'm a big Bears fan (figuratively and literally) and I disagree with you.

Jones is a good back but his arrow is pointing down, and they weren't going to pay him the money he wanted, so they got something for him. Yes, I know he has run for good yardage the past 3 seasons, but he is on the downhill side of the mountain. I'm excited to see what Benson can do as the starting back.
Johnson, Boone, and Worrell are all second string guys and can be replaced easily, beleive me...you won't miss them.
I haven't heard anything about Brown leaving (I'm assuming you mean Mike Brown), but if he does, then good riddance. I don't need or want a guy that can only play for half a season. When is a guy unlucky and when is a guy injury prone. Personally I think Mike Brown is more fragile than a china doll. The Bears made it to the Superbowl last year without him. Its obvious we can survive without him.

I have faith in Angelo, he has a pretty good track record. I'm just waiting to see what he does with the rest of the off-season and the draft.

IMO they had a "miracle" season with Grossman as QB.
I don't see any more miracles in the near future.

I agree...Benson was a 1st rounder, and the Bears were going to go with him and not offer Jones big money when his contract was up, that was a suprise to no one. Benson is ready to step into the full-time starting role.

I also agree that Johnson and the others aren't big losses, although I would be bummed myself if there is any truth to Mike Brown leaving. But the Bears have bigger fish to fry right now, with Lance Briggs unhappy about the franchise tag and the question mark that seems to be over Grossman's head.

Anyway you look at though, they will still end up ahead of the Packers in the standings next year (Hi Jim!).

i agree with the backup's and i can only hope benson can stay healthy for a whole season. i was talking about ruben brown, not mike. i'm not sure if mike brown is coming back or not though because of the injuries could be retired. my big problem is that we have tons of money under the cap and angelo and phillips won't improve the team, except for the draft. that is just stupid, you are a few players away from being a elite football team and instead do nothing, except raise ticket prices. i don't think we will be all that great next year especially if benson countinues to get hurt.

Whatever moves the Bears make; they need to make them in QB position. Grossman is a total abortion. I haven't seen a Superbowl performance like that since McNabb! We can talk all day about the comings and goings of specific players, but the real question is Grossman chiefly. What Grossman did to the QB position in Chicago is the same thing that hip hop did to music. He destroyed it!!

I think Grossman has major confidence issues, and if the rest of the team does, it could be a problem...but on the other hand, if destroying the QB position means going to the Super Bowl every year, please let some QB keep destroying it.
