Stanley Cup Match Up

So who will end up in the cup finals? Tell us why you think so...

My guess is Anaheim-Buffalo

Why? Hasek will become human allowing Anaheim a shot. Buffalo because I think Miller will beat Emery.

Sentimentally I would like to see the Wings vs Ottawa. I enjoy seeing a Canadian team in running, and love the Original 6.

Of course I could be wrong

I'm in for a sidebet so I'm sure going to say Buffalo-Anaheim

I'm going with Buffalo and Detroit. (Of course I have Detroit in a contest so I have to pull for them.) It wouldn't surprise me at all if I was completely wrong. Should be two very good Conference Final series.

I'm going to go with Anaheim and Buffalo too, with Anaheim winning the cup.

Re: Stanley Cup Match Up

I am guessing Red Wings V. Sens, but any of the teams will make for an exciting Finals. I think the Semi Finals might be the best hockey we will see though, two incredible match ups.

I def agree with that Tommie. Conference Finals will be the best played games IMO because no matter who goes to the Cup it won't get much better than the current matchups.

Go Wings!!!

Re: Stanley Cup Match Up

Unfortunately for you Red Wings fans, Anaheim will win the series 4-1 or 4-2. They're just too good of a team.

On the other side of the country I think it will be a 7 game series. Back in September (Sep. 3rd, weeks before the season) I predicted the Wild and Buffalo. It would have been the Wild if it wasn't for those pesky Ducks (and horrible horrible horribly biased referees). I believe Buffalo will beat Ottawa, but only after a great series. From play during the regular season it would be Buffalo hands down. But obviously the playoffs are a different story - Ottawa has been playing exceptional and Buffalo hasn't been playing so well. But I believe they will turn it around in these 7 games and take the win.

During the Cup finals of Anaheim vs. Buffalo, it will be probably 6 games - Anaheim will be hoisting the Cup this season.

(But it will be the Wild next season!)

I think you should put your cigars where your mouth is!!

5 premium cigars says that Anaheim can't put the series away in 6 games....If the Wings win the series or take it to a 7th game, I win...If Anaheim wins in 6 or less, you win...whaddaya say?

Re: Stanley Cup Match Up

Have to go with Detroit and Ottawa since I love the Wings and I love to see a Canadian team in the playoffs. There have been too many years they didn't have a representative. Besides, it just doesn't seem right for a team below the Mason-Dixon line to win The Cup. And the Sabres... who are they?
