Helmuth could make history today

Ok, so I'm sure I'm not the only poker fanatic out there. I play every day and keep up with the tourneys.

Helmuth could make it 11 bracelets today if he ends up winning the WSOP $1,500 event. While I hate the guys conceited ways, I do have to admit he's a great tournament player.

I personally don't think he'll do it though. Phil will get a bad beat, break down mentally and piss it all away.

Personally, I'd love to see him win that 11th bracelet. It will be a great poker media event, especially because Helmuth has such a super-hyper personality! We need some of the old timers to come up with some big wins! yes, as young as Helmuth is, he falls into the category of old timers. The so called "Young Guns of Poker" have been winning a lot of the titles lately, and as good/lucky as they have been, for the most part, they are boring people with very bland personalities. Well Nicky Cage would make a good quirky Texan. It all depends on the director. that new poker movie with Drew Barrymore is absolute hollywood crap.

I'm surprised they are making a movie about Slim though. He was villified after some run in with the law concerning child *****graphy.

Danny Negraneau (one of my favorite players) signed up with PokerStars. I'm glad he didn't go to Full Tilt. I'm sick of seeing their gawdy gear everywhere.

ah you noticed the same thing. I thought I was misreading it or something. it must be a typo, because a pair of 7's beat Ace high last time I played.
