NHL Draft

I'm thrilled with the Flyers pick at #2 of the 1st round.

James vanRiemsdyk - 6'3" 200 lbs. With skills to boot.

How did everyone else's teams do?

Re: NHL Draft

I think the Blueshirts got the steal of the draft...on paper. We will see how it turns out on the ice.

Re: NHL Draft

In a draft year without a Sidney Crosby type standout, the draft is often a crapshoot. Guys from the first round may never pan out, while some late round guys will become all-stars, ala Luc Robitaille and Steve Larmer.

That being said, I have high hopes for the last two first rounders for the Hawks, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.

Re: NHL Draft

Not impressed with the Bruin's pick but it was interesting to see two Americans picked at the top and to see the third generation of Sutters started.

I'm pretty stoked about Cherepanov. There seems to be a few knocks on his attitude, but his agent is good and his favorite player is Jagr.

Re: NHL Draft

I can be happy with the Flyers first round pick, that and the recent trade with Nashville shows Holmgren is serious about getting the team back on track.

Re: NHL Draft

The Caps got a defenseman, Karl Alzner, should be another good building block to go alongside the Alex twins, Ovechkin and Semin.

Uniforms will not fit your biceps or they are afraid of aircraft landing on Madison Square Garden? Paul

C'mon! They found a jersey to fit Tony Twist!

If they can find a helmet to fit Tie Domi's melonhead, they can find a jersey to fit me!
