That's cool - I know its a thankless job and they are human beings who do make mistakes - but...as a spectator it seems to have gotten worse recently.

I wouldn't want to do it - kudos to you!

Re: Sad Day for the NBA

I don't watch as much NBA anymore. Mainly, being a Celtics fan and they have sucked so badly is the main reason.

This could be harmful to the NBA and their image. It can happen but I think most ref's are on the up and up.

You're kidding right - the players and their attitudes have given professional sports, and the NBA especailly, black eyes long ago.

I agree with you Joe regarding the players. What I find sad is that, if true, corruption has now reached some of the officials. That was my only point.

Now this, on the other hand, is not so funny.
You'll pay for that, mate.

Re: Sad Day for the NBA

I wonder where NBA Security was, just watching the players and coaches while giving the officials a free ride? They should have detected a problem well before it got to this point.

Re: Sad Day for the NBA

honestly do not doubt it for one second. and yes, the referring in the NBA (and its showing in MLB too) has become so aweful over the past couple years it makes the sport tough to watch.

hey, if the players are getting faster, get refs with quicker response time.

I am not saying they all suck, but enough of them suck to make the whole group suck. Most of it is because of some refs' ego. most of them feel they can not make a wrong call.

did anyone else watch the NBA playoffs....i turned a couple games off for that reason, the refs were that bad.

as always imho

It's not that simple. You are talking about two completely different skill sets.

Even with faster responding refs, Money will still corrupt some.
