I'm glad it's over. Eight years from now, more or less, we can forget this pharmaceutically enhanced idiot when A-Rod smashes the record. Till then you can't make an [SIZE=7]*[/SIZE][SIZE=2]big enough for the current "record holder".[/SIZE]

EDIT - Bonds unfortunately will probably not be alive to see his "record" broken. Given the systemic effects his level of Roiding has on the body, I'm predicting a Lyle Alzado type end for Barry. I'll start the over/under at 5 years after retirement.

I watched Hank Aaron break the Babe's record live on TV in 1974 at age 11.

I had no desire to follow Bonds' quest to break Aaron's mark, and heard about it on the radio driving home from work. If only I didn't have to watch the replay 5000 times over the next week.

Hank was one of my heros.....Barry is an asshat.

Sorry Booker....nothing to do with the performance enhancers, more to do with his general apathy and/or disdain for the people who buy tickets to watch him play. Without fans, professional athletes are nothing. Barry doesn't get it.
