His team was filthy. Two others on Astana were also caught as well. Apparantly the lab in France was not able to test for transfusions until this year. So the riders did not think they would get caught for it.

I do not like some of the guilt by association stuff going on right now with riders who have never tested positive (Valverde, Rasmusnen, Contador) not being allowed to race. But it is telling how many of the riders involved in Operation Peurto have ultimately either been caught or ultimately confessed to doping.

I have little doubt that Vino was dirty. It don't mean you cannot appreciate the way he rides. I think I will miss his agression in the peloton. But you can despise how he got to where he is.
