In some leagues, when you pick up players, they have to clear waivers first. The waiver number is the priority you have in this if multiple people try to claim the same player off waivers (I think its the reverse order of the draft). However, I'm pretty sure it means absolutely nothing in our league, as it isn't set up like that.
Once the season starts teams with worse records have priority for a player if multiple teams put in for the same player.

Players only have 1 day to clear waivers in our league so it most likely will not come into play very often.

Re: Yahoo FF League?

Week 1 is in the books, here is the damage:

BoSockKiller 147
Lewsshus's Biglugs 87
BSK rode Romo and his 40 points to coast to an easy win. BSK was also the high scorer for the week. Had 4 at 20+ and 6 of 8 in double figures.

ATX Herfers 81
Mugwumps 89
Mugwumps started off right with Wayne scoring 29 and Addai 22. Colts give him the win here.

Coryj's Crumbums 130
Stogiehogs 108
Burress and Witten combine for 63 for CC. Duece never got loose but the Stogie Hogs still put up 108.

White Owls 63
Gio's Bombers 131
The commish just gets housed in the opener. Peyton 27 and Moss 33 and that was almost enough itself from the Bombers. Pitt DT adds 17.

CG's Champs 70
C-40's 54
The lowest scoring game of the week had little to write home about, but a win is a win. Palmer was the leading scorer for CG with 18 and Housh got 20 for C-40's.

CJ Chargers 70
Team Tenpenny 104
Gates gave CJ 25 but they couln't capitalize on the performance. TT had 5 of 8 in double figures for a solid performance and the W.

Pretty much all the games were decided on Sunday, so that left for a ho-hum Monday night, even with the extra game.

The action is sure to pick up next week as the "Quest for 50" continues.

Good luck.

My game with the Mugwumps came down to monday night. Was a close one. Wish my backs had done a bit more.

That last Baltimore goal line situation pretty much decided our game. They decided not to let McGahee punch it in which would have sealed the deal for me and then Todd Heap dropped that TD pass which killed you.

In both my leagues it all came down to Monday night and both were very narrow victories.

Re: Yahoo FF League?

That sucks... That Heap catch was a for sure TD. How could they call interference on the offense with 2 min left?

Re: Yahoo FF League?

Week 2 in the books, the damage:

White Owls 101
BoSockKiller 120
The commish is stagering to a 0-2 start. This sparks the front office to trade Willie Parker to the BoSockKiller for Holt/D Ward. The win puts BSK at 2-0 and will remain the #1 team in Club Stogie.

Gio's Bombers 112
Team Tenpenny 127
TT rides A Johnson and Winslow (53 pts.) to the win. Costly win though as Johnson got a boo-boo on his knee and is out next week. Gio has 30 from Moss and 22 from Edge but can't get the win and is now 1-1. TT moves to 2-0.

Stogiehogs 133
Lewshus's Biglugs 79
Stogiehogs roll up LB to move to 1-1. Steve Smith is lights out with 3TD's and 41 points. LB licks the wounds, now 0-2.

ATX Herfers 128
Coryj's Crumbums 116
This one was down to MNF. Westbrook out performs McNabb though and ATX is 1-1 as is CC. ATX gets 64 out of his WR/TE. CC can't capitalize on the 43 from Ocho-Cinco. CC needed a TD from McNabb and OT for a chance to win. Landry made sure that didn't happen.

CG's Champs 152
Mugwumps 105
CG gets the win and goes to 2-0. 46 from Palmer and 44 from the WR's and that is the end of Mugwumps. Solid 105 isn't enough to get the win this week and they goto 1-1 after winning last week with 89 points.

SJ Chargers 96
C-40's 99
Great game! SJ is undone by the Bengals DT though. You give up 51 points and it costs you! CIN DT goes for -2 points. A average outing from the D and they get the win. C-40's make a great coaching call and start Welker who nets 17 points. C-40's crawl out of the cellar and goto 1-1 while SJC go to 0-2.

Good luck to all in Week 3. Remember, this is the last week before bye weeks begin! Plan accordingly!!!!!!!

4 teams score 100+ and still lose! Going to take some scoring to gets W's here!!!

Re: Yahoo FF League?

Man do I need a solid #2 receiver. Two of my WR draftees have been complete busts (Mark Clayton and Reggie Brown). Meanwhile in my other league I have such a wealth of WRs that I'm benching Donald Driver and Wes Welker because I won't need them until bye weeks. Crazy but that's football for you.

Re: Yahoo FF League?

Week 3 results:

White Owls 110
Stogiehogs 84

The commish is in the win column!! Bad week for Stogiehogs. First they lose to me, then they lose McAllister for the year! Steve Smith was shut down my Hall. Brady put up 4tds again for him, but it couldn't overtake the juggernaut that is the White Owls!!

Gio's Bombers 149
BoSockKiller 113

Lots of points to go around here. GB gets 46 from what had been a quiet Ronnie Brown. BSK is with the rest of the fantasy world and waiting for LT to get going.

ATX Herfers 142
Lewshus's Biglugs 76

ATX almost doubles up LB. Roy Williams and Westbrook in the DET/PHI track meet made for a combined 80 points. Yikes! LB is the lone winless team in CS.

CG's Champs 77
coryj's Crumbums 138

Another game with little drama. McNabb with 35 in the morning started CC off right. CG gets their first loss of the year and CC moves to 2-1.

SJ Chargers 100
Mugwumps 92

Close game. Mugwumps was done in, like many teams this week with the dazzling -3 put up by Bulger. 26 from Foster and 22 from Gates powers SJ to their first win of the year.

C-40's 91
Team Tenpenny 102

TT gets 21 from Bush. 15 rushing yards on a dismal week for the Saints, but he nets both NO TD's. Team Tenpenny goes to 3-0 and is on top of Club Stogie.........for this week. They are also the last remaing threat to the 72 Dolphins as the only undefeated team.

BYE WEEKS START THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to all.
