Just moved back to XP Pro myself. I like the look and feel of Vista, if only it worked over time. Back to the drawing broad.

Been there...i bought a Dell in May and it came with Vista...i tried like hell to make it work to my liking ad it was an immense resource hog, not to mention half of the software I owned doesnt work with Vista. i moved my OS back to XP Pro in August...awful experience.

He meant the Vista was an awful experience. What I did was I had two separate hard drives. One had the OS on it and one had my data files. Then I could just reformat the OS drive and not worry about losing anything. You can partition your drive to and that can help. Upgrade to XP and make your life better!

NONONONO!! Then you have to track down the various hardware drivers - IF they exist. Contact the manufacturer, see if they have the downgrade CD. It just overwrites the relevant portions of the OS - no reformatting needed.
