Since we are opening a geek area...*grin*

Lets see your setup...

Here's mine, it's my desktop and HTPC setup...

5 pc's sharing a KVM, and a laptop with a split screen, Onkyo Sound system with a 100 disk Sony Vaio Media Changer and a server with 1.5 TB of storage...

What you don't see is the projector, a panasonic that throws about a 100" screen on the wall in 1024x768

Nice setup Jeff! My office is currently a train-wreck. Guess I'll have to clean it up and take some pics!

Here, if it will make you feel better...

An example of me at my desk about a month ago before I started upgrading all my monitors to 22"

I thank everyone for their compliments...

But I want to see other folks setups as well...

None of the machines listed are exceptional except for storage capacity. They just serve different purposes in the household...

Your media server, what OS are you running?

My whole setup is Microsoft, but I've been playing with the idea of building up a linux media server....

I'll take some pictures of my office and post them tomorrow ... I need some natural lighting (it's nighttime as I write this). In the meantime, here's a pic of my new PC:

This is a pic from the Cyberpower website, but it looks exactly like mine. It's big but it rocks!

I run Windows Media Server on XP Enterprise....and a few of the desktops and my laptop actually run Vista Pro without any really strange issues.....linux was an option but I wanted something that if I was traveling I could fix remotely.....I also run a special black box application for trading that was developed around .NET so I need the Windows architecture.......would be nice to find independence but its so hard......they say that Microsoft has a 2 degrees of seperation on mostly everything we touch......maybe thats why some cigars taste so bad.......lol
