Photosynth?

While trolling the net, I came across at some new software that is absolutely amazing! First click on the youtube presentation... then you can go to the photosynth website and you can actually preview it.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with this??? But I am amazed.

watch the video... it is an amazing cache of storing photos in an almost 3D form... I know, it's quite geeky...

Dude, that's just crazy! I can't wait for the day when I don't have to leave the comfort of my home and computer screen to work, travel, sightsee, etc. Getting dressed and leaving the house is for suckers! (But of course, I'm still waiting for my personal jetpack!) Hmmm, virtual herfs. Bill Gates could easily accomplish the sights, but the smells may take a bit more research. Guess it depends on how virtual ... truly virtual would mean the computer smokes the cigar instead of you, right? That would suck. Nevermind.

Not bad, it's like a commercial grade photo rectification system. You should see some of the government stuff. It's mind blowing.
