I want something that I dont have to download several different programs in order to download songs and burn them to CDs. Something easy to use that has all the latest music. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you

+1 for Pandora - create your own music station based on your likes and dislikes. Very cool concept!

Pandora is pretty sweet, I use it a lot. I also have limewire and it's... generally good. Use it long enough and you'll get some incomplete songs or just an entire song's worth of what I can only describe as somebody directly shoving a power line into an amp. You'll know it when you hear it - it's absolutely horrible.

Bittorrent is good too, but when you download a song you usually have to download the entire album. I didn't know that when I first downloaded it. Also, it's hard sometimes trying to track down the torrents since the Bittorrent people only have the program and you have to google the specific torrent you want.

If I did, I don't think I would post it here and incriminate myself.

I second the suggestion of Pandora. Free, legal, good sound quality, and you can create a million different personalized radio stations. I love my Rat Pack channel!

I used to use Pandora at work until Big Brother shut it down. Now I use Yahoo and it is almost as good as Pandora.

There used to be a uber-kewl music search site called MusicPlasma.com but it doesn't appear to be around any more. There are still a lot of hits on the search engines - anyone heard of this before? Better yet, anyone know what happened to it?

Not unless you have software that will let you record what you're streaming...

I didn't know that Limewire was still around. Over the years I've used Napster, Gnutella, Limewire and Bearshare. Haven't used a peer-to-peer for music in at least four years.
